Every time I think I want to go back and visit and maybe just maybe we can juggle some bills and make a quick jaunt, some fool calls from Jamaica, upsets us, and we think better of even trying.

Just sneak down without telling anyone down there you are coming and enjoy yourself. I told Anthony the next time I come down he is not to tell ANYONE!

LOL - I did that last time with DJ - that's why we went to Negril, and didn't see ANY of his friends or family! But, they still found out I was there and it wasn't quite far enough away - So now we're going to the Bahamas His mom, I love - Some of his friends, however.....

I hear you on that ....they were worse than the family with the expectations. And the bring me one of your friends line makes me crazy! Do I look like cupid??!!

Oh, I had one just like this on me. Over a year ago my mom and sis went to Roaring river. I had been there a couple times before so i knew a few folks. Why did we meet this one guy who lives up there and became our "little puppy dog" He was like a lost puppy that just followed us everywhere. He wasnt creepy just funny. kept going on an on about me bringing my other sisters next time for him. I was like yeah yeah ok ok. So we exchanged numbers and he would call all the time. Then send all these please call me back msgs. I think i called him 2 times. So when he found out i was getting married he wanted to help me plan it at the Blue Hole so that I could bring my sisters there for him to meet. After I told him it really wasnt gonna happen he got mad....i mean mad. Never heard from him again. Lawd!! Oh an some other guy up at Roaring river who was our tour guide tried to get at my older sis. They exchanged numbers and when she never really called him he got MAD and started going off on the phone. Before that he was asking her to marry him and petition for his visa . When I heard this i was like "ah wah di rass!!?"

I've been lucky that I haven't always had to bring tons of gifts cause dave's mom and immediate family never asked. Now, I have taken his mom a couple pairs of sandals and some other small stuff when i would go but never anything overboard. I'm sure that could change once Dave goes back and everyone's expectations of him change, now that he's "working" in the States! LOL

Me and Dave had an experience with one of his cousins who ALWAYS wanted me to "bring" him a friend when i would come, like most of us have experienced. He got lucky one time when i traveled down there with my sister and 2 girlfriends. Needless to say, one of my friends exchanged numbers with him and actually had a good time while she was there. Well, the situation turned ugly when he realized she wasn't planning on coming back till next year and that they really "weren't" in a relationship. He would call her at all hours of the morning, begging her to come back and then would get hostile when she cut him off. After that whole ordeal, he was back at it again.....asking me and dave to "find" him someone else?!! I was like....."what do u think I am, a travel guide for people to come to Jamaica and meet a Man??!!!

Dave finally had to tell him...it wasn't gonna happen and he hasn't been a problem for months....

One of my friends hung out with one of DJ's at the start of one trip - but he soon got annoying and she flipped on him (she isn't patient anyway) - So his other friend came out with us the last night, barely talked to my friend, then got pissed off when she danced with another guy - Every time I have been back he asks me when she is coming, and it doesn't matter that I have told him straight up that (1) she's not interested in you, and (2) I know now that you have a wife, plus I have met TWO different girlfriends (all Jamaican) - no way would I let my friend mix into that even if she did like you!

I really really like one of DJ's friends, the rest - eh.....

Well, it's about friggin time...... I got the e-mail today and Ray has to go drop off the DS-230 on Thursday, July 10th @ 12:30. Yay!!!!!!

I got the same day and time Sunny, but my SO cant make it she is out the country, I am asking for a new appointment date, I am hoping they are not to strict with rescheduling.

I already beleive most men are hormonally bi-polar but some of these guys in Jamaica are straight degranged. I mean the anger is really scary. My husband tried to flip the script on me one day...ah haaaahaaa!! I had to cut that craziness in half! I don't have time for schziophrenia (sp)

But to go from to in a matter of seconds?!? only thing that saves RG is he goes right back just as fast w/ an apology for how he acted. That's something I never thought I would experience from the opposite sex.. my ex used to play the silent game for days and then I would finally give in.

I hope you'll be able to change the date and time. It was my understanding that Thursday was the day to drop off information that was requested by the embassy and if you were blue slipped they usually tell you to come back on a Thursday. if you get a new date it will most likely be on a thursday at the same time...anyway good luck.

Wow, I guess after not answering all the e-mails last week, they just sent that date out for everyone. LMAO They may reschedule her for another Thursday because that's the only day the collect them. Or she can just mail it in so that you don't hold up the process. If you mail it, be sure to have a tracking number so that you know when it reaches. Good Luck to you... I'm trying to get my So to catch the bus to Kingston, but it's not working....lol

Can I just rant for a moment? Ok good.... I HATE packing to move!!!! I know I have to but I just feel like its endless. I can't wait to be settled somewhere forever, lol. Ok thanks, complaining made me feel better, now i'm off to pour a glass of wine and tackle the kids clothes.
