I warned you, Gill. I'm sorry just the same. I always hope when I put out the warning to someone, that I will be wrong. I'd really like to be wrong.

I think the hardest thing for me to deal with is the feelings of guilt they just keep piling on. And, you are absolutely correct on them not understanding how hard it is here. They have no concept of the bills, the hours worked just to pay those bills, and the general cost of living in the US. Andre says that all the time.....that every Jamaican should get to experience the US and then the calls would stop.

Want to know about the NY sister? She dropped her kids in Jamaica a few months ago with the premise that she would send money down each week and get herself a job in NY, a job she apparently can't get with her kids around. Wanna guess what has happened? She has not found a job. She sent money initially; but stopped after a few short weeks. She is just adding to our stress by adding two more kids to the JA household mix.

I fear for Andre. I fear they are going to stress him so much that it triggers a sickle cell episode.

Yes it can trigger an episode!! So please tell him to relax. I swear sometimes you just have to be as mad crazy as the next man. meaning, play their game. Send them your bills, show them pics of your car door, ask them for help. Its ridiculous that these people still have the nerve to keep coming back for more. Cut them off!! Unless somebody is on their death bed they can live the life in which the GOOD LORD ALMIGHTY has given them. Yes some peoples lives are harder than others but God has still blessed them with a life. There are people far more worse off. Send them media clippings on Darfur and ask them if their life is so bad. They were fully functioning before you were so blessed to meet your husband. You are not their messiah, on the Jesus is and they need to look to him to give them a way out of their mess.. He will also keep them from having to be in the mess in the first place. Seriously play their game.

Girl you are on a tear today with those words of wisdom. Carry on.....it is helping.

Hey Gill;

Just want to add my piece about Ken's baby mother. As long as KJ is with her, she is going to use him to get stuff from you both. Where does she expect Ken to have all that funds to support her? He just got here. Because she knows his soft spot for his child she is going to feed on that. But keep a level head and not let her stress you guys. It is things like this that the devil uses to cause stress and strife in relationships. Keep your head up. Tell Ken I truly like his style. Big him up for me.

Much Love

Claire

It is nearly the same with us. Andre has no children. But, he was very close to his little brother, sisters, nieces, and nephew.

I hate to see people use children like that. Like little pawns in their sick games.

Not yet and they mailed it out on the 23rd of June.

Must be in the same mail bag as mine!

Well, it's about friggin time...... I got the e-mail today and Ray has to go drop off the DS-230 on Thursday, July 10th @ 12:30. Yay!!!!!!

Tanya, yours is coming girl....

See that.........we scared them. Talk about the VJ girls ganging up on them and they run scared!

Idk, I feel like my head is racing today. The interview waiting is getting on my nerves. I've been waiting for what seems like forever. Our first anniversary is next month and having no word of a date is make me really depressed and super emotional today. I had to take a long lunch cause i felt like I might go off on somebody if they just said one negative thing to me. Then I call the Mister and he is getting on my nerves too. ugh!

JG --- I must apologize. The week before I left for Jamaica you said Andre had move the furniture around the house and reorganized a few things and I was telling you to leave him alone. Well, I get home from work yesterday and WHAT THE HELL....Marcel changed everything thing in the damn house. Even moved the things around in the kitchen (talking about he's the cook) so, he needs to know where to find things. Rearranged all the furniture, things in the linen closet, my shoes, things in the bathrooms, my sons room, the den, moved my computer desk. I was like...DID SOMEBODY GIVE YOU SOME RENK WEED TO SMOKE.... Now, we both neat freaks and overorganizers (if that's a word)...Now, I can't find a damn thing. Another thing, he don't eat red meat (I knew this)...I get home I'm like where is the GOAT MEAT and OXTAIL that was in the freezer? Oh, baby dat no good fi you so mi dash it weh n go buy some fish n more chicken and veggies...(I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH VEGGIES IN THE HOUSE). I was like, wah di rass u dash weh mi good meat fah...u know how much OXTAIL and GOAT MEAT cost in the states u musah mad to rass. Now, I'm like where the heck did all the SWEETS come from in the house. He has a sweettooth (bad) and I'm trying to tell him he's going to gain weight quick since he's not active as he was in Jamaica (he's going to look at me, GRIN and say well, we can work it off). He's gained 5lbs since Saturday. Then I ask him, when the hell did you have time to go to the store, he said, he walked out to the street, stood at the bus stop, got on the bus asked the driver where is the nearest shopping center, paid the fare and went grocery shopping. I wonder what's waiting for me when I get home this evening.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others
