I have absolutely no plans for the holidays :( , my son has requested i take him to see the Incredible hulk, im kind of bummed though. I was planning on going to the Taste Festival in Detroit on saturday though, but im on call which means if any one has any psych issues, requiring hospitalization or a phone call or some phone coaching, i have to be sober <_< , which takes all the fun out of it. But on the upside, i will be leaving to go to JA, at 4 in the morning on Tuesday, so that makes up for my crappy weekend. Maybe i will spend Saturday, polishing, waxing, shaving and plucking...LMAO...so i will be good to go!!! :lol:

We are going to a Cardinal baseball game Thursday night. On the actual 4th, Andre has to work 1 - 10 pm which pisses me off to no end. He always gets the very worst shifts on holidays. We are both off on Saturday so we might hit Fair St. Louis which is a big deal and takes over downtown.

A fair sounds fun! At least does Andre get paid more for the Holidays?

I think I finally made some plans.. going to a small island off of Portland. My friend who lives in DC is coming up for the summer and her mom has a little cottage (shack) out there and we can see the fireworks and stay for Reggae Sunday! Yay... glad I have plans. Last year I was in St Lucia and obviously had no fireworks (except the one with Louis!! LOLOLOLOL)

No extra pay at all.....holidays, overnights, etc. It sucks.

Thats funny! I know OF Bigga.. friends of friends etc.... I dont think he is in IRS though. Maybe once in a while. My ex from St Kitts is the drummer for IRS. The band that plays on the island is Stream Reggae. They all know each other though. Not having a large carib community in Maine everyone knows everyone.

LOL - the whole Reggae scene up in New England is a small world - Bigga used to live in NY and sing with a band called UNI years ago - The other band that I love up that way (Boston based) is Hot like Fire - also Jamdown, that is from out on Cape Cod

Louis doesnt sing or play anything - but of course loves reggae... I have to get him out and about to meet some people. The lead singer of Stream is an older Ras from Dominica... St Lucia's neighbor. I will have to get them to meet each other. Will have to get down to Boston some weekend for some fun. Introduce to the ex.... :-)

We saw Get Smart over the weekend. It was so freakin' funny. Well worth the ticket price.

BTW....My predictions on how the weekend would go were absolutely correct.

I can believe that.... Maybe that's the reason why I haven't gotten an appt to drop off the DS-230. I'm really thinking about mailing it...

Hope you all had a great weekend and looking forward to the holiday this week. I'm glad I finished school but I'm really frustrated with the job market. The economy is so horrible right now. Kinda makes me wish I stayed in school longer to get the education benefits lol

Oh I can't wait for the county fair! It was a tradition of my familys to go their every year when I was younger. I would love to take Evan there....if he can get here in time. Its in September :wacko:

I know that you can in the Virgin Islands - But you have to be really careful that you stay on the US side and not venture to the British side at all - or it would constitute leaving the US.

I am not sure on Puerto Rico.
