Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!

Looks like you all had a nice weekend. Wish I could have been in DC for the festival, Louis would have liked it I am sure. We have NOTHING like that here. I think there was a Greek Food festival this weekend!

So what is everyone doing for the 4th? My daughter is going to her father's for 17 days... Louis and I will have a couple of weekends to ourselves! Wahoo!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Irie

Morning all -

My cheek is still puffy and sore, but not as bad as it was - I slept more yesterday because of the Benadryl than anything else - I have no tolerance for that stuff!

Sunny, we will definitely meet up at some point - I think we have to plan an East Coast link up!

Good Morning All! Happy Friday!

Happy Anniversary JG! Have fun celebrating!

Honey - good to hear the update on your man.

Lita - hit by a bus??? I am glad you survived that. Ouch.

May I request a collective prayer? Something is up with the DS-230 part 1 that my SO returned to the embassy. They received it two weeks ago and have not assigned an interview date. I have sent two emails and I've gotten no response. Please prayer that whatever the problem may be that it gets resolved quickly and that the interview gets assigned. This is making me nervous. Thank you ladies!

Mrs H - did you call the 202 #? Gill swears by them!! The embassy seems to be ignoring e-mails right now. I know there are a few of us who have sent some and received no replies.

 Ms. H, don't fret...Ken dropped his DS230 off 1/15/08 and we didn't get our interview date til 2/1/08. Just call the 202# to confirm that they have it! I bet if you call today or tomorrow...they will have an interview date for you...maybe you already have one...but I haven't read deep enough into the thread!

Mawning Family,

Sunny...so sorry we couldn't link...we probably passed each other on the NJ Turnpike ...Well ya'll I dropped the boys off with my Sister in DC on Saturday and she flew them down to Fl to spend time with my Dad! I AM KID FREE FOR TWO WEEKS!!!!! ...the first time in almost TEN Years!! I dropped off Ken at work yesterday morning and HATED being at home...too dyam quiet!

But I ain't gonna lie...running out to get a pedicure and hit up Panera with my Girlfriend in the evening was FUN!!! Not a care in the world...not Chick , nor child fi worry bout! :D

Bless,

Gill

Morning everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend and looking forward to the holiday this week. I'm glad I finished school but I'm really frustrated with the job market. The economy is so horrible right now. Kinda makes me wish I stayed in school longer to get the education benefits lol

Shauna :( ...sorry. If you want to talk send me a PM. I'm starting to pack for a trip but I'll be back next week. You have a beautiful daughter (who is still absolutely beautiful in pick BTW :luv: ) and returning to school will keep you busy; but that still doesn't erase the pain.

His loss...

thanks Michele!!! i don't think it will ever completly go away...but the pain/disapointment is getting better day by day....have a safe and great trip!!

Hey Yardies,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I had a blast in New York at my girlfriends. I went from the pool to the hot tub. It was so nice. Sus and Gill, sorry we didn't get a chance to hook up, but there's always a next time. You guy's will have to meet me there the another time. lol I met two nice guy's from Jamaica and we talked and drank beer all night. My sister said aren't you going to come and talk with us a little. lol Well I'm heading to bed now since I just got home. Glad I don't have to wake up and go to work.....

Sounds like a blast Sunny! Any response from Kingston?

Hey girlie,

Oh, we had a wonderful time. No word from Kingston yet, but I talked with Lawny on Friday and she said they seemed to have gotten behind again. Ugh!

So, the wait is on...................

How is Lawny doing?? When does she come home? I miss her posts!

We are going to a Cardinal baseball game Thursday night. On the actual 4th, Andre has to work 1 - 10 pm which pisses me off to no end. He always gets the very worst shifts on holidays. We are both off on Saturday so we might hit Fair St. Louis which is a big deal and takes over downtown.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

A fair sounds fun! At least does Andre get paid more for the Holidays?

I think I finally made some plans.. going to a small island off of Portland. My friend who lives in DC is coming up for the summer and her mom has a little cottage (shack) out there and we can see the fireworks and stay for Reggae Sunday! Yay... glad I have plans. Last year I was in St Lucia and obviously had no fireworks (except the one with Louis!! LOLOLOLOL)

Sounds like fun Cat. I love the "attempts" at reggae parties we have up here... but better than nothing I guess! I bet Louis will be impressed with the fireworks.

My daughter and I are just staying local for parade and small town festivities and fireworks. On Saturday my cousin is getting married so that will be my big fun and I will get to dance! Of course the redneck portion of my family will also be there for entertainment purposes.

A very old friend of mine is a reggae singer who lives in Portland now - Wonder if he's singing at Reggae Sundays - I think the band he plays with up there is called LRS or something like that -

Every Sunday in the summer on Peaks Island there is Reggae Sunday. Its a bar right on the water and its reggae and booze! Its no fantastic or anything but when the weather is nice is great to be outside and hear the music. And now its not just a bunch of White guys playing reggae... the lead is actually from Dominica! LOL
