Marcel just picked up his medical report and we're all good and ready for the interview. What a relief.

Sweet! You leave tomorrow, right? I can't wait to hear all about it. Good luck!

Good morning everyone,

I am just popping in for a brief update. My SO and I are still having problems, I wouldn't say our relationship is entirely over but its not looking good. In any case, I decided not to cancel my petition and let things run its course. Of course, it seems like we'll have more than enough time to deal with our problems considering I have yet to receive my NOA2 while others who filed after me have started receiving theirs. (happy for them, angry at VSC).. oh well...I'm trying to hang in there but its been very hard..

Thanks again for the support on this thread and those who have PM'd me.

I hope you manage to work it out, Mommy2 - No relationship is easy, it takes faith and time (which you certainly have) and patience. I am glad you made the decision not to cancel your petition - With having a child together, you are going to have to work something out (hopefully) for the best interest of the child. At the very least, going forward gives you time to do so.

Glad to hear, Lawny - you're leaving tomorrow, right?

It's the 20th - Friday. I'm glad I check. I'm going nuts. Funny thing is, I'm not even worried about the interview. I'm as calm as ever. I just need to pack and stock up on some more LUSH for my aunties.

And wouldn't you know it he has the FLU. The lady at Mobay I give her big props...she is so damn nice. Had to cuss out the receiptionist, but the lady that does the cordination and scheduling is very sweet.

Hello All!!

Hope everyone is well,

Sus can u tell me on the Skyauction how soon could I book a room? I am leaving for Orlando

friday and I am looking at an auction, but its confusing.

it says booking can be from NOW till March 2009, but

the next 2 lines says that the earliest travel date is 3 days after setting travel preferences?? what does that mean? Is there a 3 day waiting period after winning the auction before u can book??

.. I emailed them but they haven't answered me yet..

I can't remember the name of thread but there was one that had something to do with advice on how to help with the adjustment of your SO to the USA. Lots of lovemaking, patience, be flexible, etc. One of the tips was to live near a Jamaican community. As far as I know I am no where near a Jamaican community here in Minnesota. There are Jamaicans here. I just don't know any. Any VJ'ers from Minnesota? Anyone know anyone here?

My SO says he knows some people that have moved up here so I told him to start getting in contact with them. He also has family scattered all over....but none in Minnesota.

Can anyone help?

Hey quana - I think that means that the earliest you can travel after you win the auction is three days later - it takes some time for them to process, because when you win you give your dates to sky auction, then they get in touch with the hotel to find out if they are available.

Andre has not reached out to any Jamaican communities here, even though we know of a few Jamaicans.

I was complaining today of not having enough time. A friend of mine just sent me this......

MAN I'M TIRED!

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day

while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he

went through so he prayed:

'Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours

while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know

what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with

mine for a day. Amen.'

God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish..

The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a

woman. - He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened

the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast,

packed their lunches, Drove them to school, came home

and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and

stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery

shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries,

paid the bills and balanced the check book. He cleaned the

cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already

1 p.m. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry,

vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to

the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument

with them on the way home.

Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized

to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and

watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began

peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded

the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper. After

supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded

laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M.,

he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't

finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make

love, which he managed to get through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by

the bed and said: -'Lord, I don't know what I was thinking.

I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home

all day. Please, oh! Please, let us trade back'

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied: 'My son,

I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to

change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to

wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last night.'

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast
