Jamaican US Marine stationed in Iraq recently received a letter from his Jamaican girlfriend back in Brooklyn.

It reads as follows:

Dear Leroy,

mi caan continue di relationship wid yu enuh, because

dis ya long distance ting mi cyan deal wid, yu juss

too baxide far and me need some loving.

Mi afi admit dat mi gi yu bun two time since yu gone and it

nuh fair to di both a we still, so mi really sorry , so since we

nuh deh nuh more , mi a beg yu please to send back mi picha

whey mi did send to yu.

The Marine, with hurt feelings asked his fellow Jamaican Marines for any snap shot they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters, ex-girlfriends, cousins etc. In addition to the picture of Gwendolyn, Leroy included all the other pictures of the girls he had collected from his buddies.

There were 57 photos in that envelope...along with this note:

Dear Gwendolyn,

mi really sorry but mi caan rememba who yu be , so

baby please to pick out fi yu picha from di pile and

send back di ress to mi, tanks...

Did you SO have to return to the place where they had their medical to pick up results to take Kingston?

No, we didn't. They sent it to the embassy. But, I hear now, you do.

Lawny, as far as I understand the doc is supposed to give the xray to the applicant and forward the medical results to the embassy. Mike was only given the exray, unless things have changed. You had better call them to find out why he was told to return. That is the reason why some people only found out at the interview whether they failed the weed test.

If I were you I would call them and make sure you tell them that it is supposed to be forwarded to the embassy by them. I hope this all works itself out cause I know how you are feeling right now, that you are getting closer. Best of luck my dear.

About the guy from the medical that worked at HI...they call him "run about" or "Maxie" I'll have to ask Marcel his right name, but I think he told him that he worked in guest services what ever that means. Marcel says I know him cause I met him at Pier 1 before (we'll see)...I can't remember. I spoke to him for 3 seconds and got nothing but bad vibes.

Why is my name and bomb associated together so much lately. You know that's how I got pulled out of the security line at the airport. When you take those baths, you better think of me and laugh.

OMG....he rearranged the entire room. We had to go out and buy extension cords, we had to buy 50 ft. of cable wire for the TV, we had to take apart my beloved scrapbook desk, rearrange it and rig it. It's not so much he wanted to do it. It's that he had to do it last night. We just got done travelling back to St. Louis and we had to go pick up the kids and the dogs. He got the whole room apart, everything laying on our bed, and then, he was tired of doing it and wanted to finish today. Ummmm....where are we supposed to sleep now?

On hold with the 202# I want to know if they change the procedure. When I called to scheduled his medical in May the lady on the phone told me that they may start doing this, but it wasn't fully implemented (something like that she said). So, maybe they did go foward with it, but I don't see any notice of it. Cho...mi no wah nutin fi rass stress mi out right now...I've been CALM this whole time.

Soooooo.......I noticed this girl on VJ posting up like a million pics.

She mentioned she had a baby, kinda found it odd she never posted any of her baby.

Being FASS, mi click on one of 'her' pics and checked out the photobucket album. I checked it out, had 'her' name there which when googled, turns out to be Miss Cayman 2007, who is a friend of someone I know. Just emailed him and got confirmation the pics were stolen.

Why on earth do GROWN, MARRIED, MOTHERS do stupid stuff like that????

I don't know why they would give the applicant the medical results. Like Kimmy says, anything can be altered. I guess the money you pay for the medical covers the expense of sending it to the embassy and I would think it is in the contract between them and the embassy to do so. Well, I hope it has not changed.

OKAY...mi call Mobay Hope and she said they doing a pickups now. You can pick up the medical for your interview. It's in a sealed envelope. It's up to you. You can either have them deliver it or you can come back and pick it up. He lives 2 mins from Mobay Hope, so he say he going to pick it up.

Claire, mi a go to the JP 5mins. $55/can't beat that. Then we're going to this garden to take pictures and go to lunch...then ROOKSING in Miami later on . My dress came today and it's beautiful all of $39. It's a short off the shoulder summer dress (cream). I hope I don't look like a DUMPLIN in it. We're planning on having a large wedding in Jamaica in a few years. We'll see it plays out. Since most of his family and friends are in Jamaica. We're both from HUGE families and Jamaica will be the only place we can afford to have a large wedding. My aunts wedding on the 21st of this month has well over 500 guest. But you know Jamaicans, it will be closer to 700 people like my cousin's wedding in May last year.
