Thanks for the banks. I will talk to her about opening an account when we go down in July.

Can I have some collective prayer that I get a job I applied for??

It closed on Friday, praying they interview me, if I get the interview, I just KNOW I'll get the job..

It's basically what I was doing the UK and the salary is basically the same I was getting converted into $!!!

Got even my TOES crossed lol....

All the best JAE I am rooting for u!!!!!!!!!!

We are forever searching for something to combat the hair bumps. Nothing works for very long.

He doesn't shave with a razor right? Just the clippers? Hmmm...I know this is a hard one, but its fixable he just literally has to treat his face the way we treat the...pum.haha I know that sounds crazy but its the truth.

  1. He cannot shave with a razor for one....if he does he needs to exfoliate his face everyday. I suggest Apricot scrub.
  2. Also try a hair conditioner as mix with his shave cream...I reccommend Motions.
  3. Get an exfiliating brush...they sell good ones at Body Shop and brush the scalp and face.
  4. Always moisturize the face with a face cream. The scalp should be fine with the conditioner ,and then like a baby oil gel every now and then...trust me his skin will likely soak it up in a couple hours
After awhile his skin will become softer and more conditioned which eliminates the breeding ground of bumps. Now if he already has bad skin scars from the bumps you may have a bigger problem....and I am not really sure how to go about that.

Have you tried Tend Skin? Its a bit pricey...$20 for a small bottle but it really works. I buy it online but you can find at most high end salons...

Thanks ladies,

I am not sponsoring her. My parents or granny would.

Only other way for her to get here permanently is for her to marry someone.

She may very well have a shot at getting a visitor's visa, they seem to give them out more willingly to older people. She could then come for a few months at a time. BUT, she could NOT officially work.

Actually, it probably would work - That Bikini bump stop stuff (forget the exact name, but they sell it in all drugstores) does work - my ex used to use mine all the time on his face

There are a few options - You could file for an H1B visa, but there is a Cap per year on those and they are tough to get - Also possibly a J visa - Most Nanny visas are geared towards those in their early 20s, so it's hard for an older person. Here's some info:

Been there done that. Like I said, it all works for a few weeks and then, we're back to looking for something new.

Even if you managed to do this route, it's for a specified amount of time. Unless she were to marry a US citizen, she could not stay after her time expired.

I am getting the feeling that you want her to permanently move to the US.

If she really has no one else on the island and needs your financial assistance to survive, I am thinking she doesn't have many ties that will ensure she returns. It may be a long shot to even get the visitor's visa.

She said it's not her husband's real mother, but his aunt.
