Too funny, we must have! My flight finally left at around 8:30 pm from gate 13 - but I was at the airport from around 5 - I finally told DJ to go because I was losing it sitting there with him, and didn't want him to pay for parking anymore and waste money -

Sus & English welcome back;

What is up with Air Jamaica and all the delays that is crazy. I think the worse I've seen was leaving Mobay at 9pm and getting into BWI after midnight.

We won't even go into the 2 page letter I sent to Air Jamaica after it took me 24 hrs to get home (including the stop where I slept in my car at the rest area on the NY thruway because I was exhausted). And I don't mean I just got to hang out in JA another 24 hrs. I was stuck on a plane, an airport terminal, a taxi from Ft Lauderdale to Miami airport, the airport terminal in Miami, etc......my head hurts thinking about that nightmare again when I purchased a nonstop ticket.....

I tried that on American when they had me stuck in Houston. They pretty much said suck it up!

That's the response I figure I am going to get as well, but I felt better that I at least complained!!

what?? allt that cuz she didn't want to sit in the back... I bet she was begging for that seat when they threw her rass off the plane! Did she even try to get them to reconsider, apologize? dang, seems like alot of consequences for something so trivial.

One time this guy was arguing about whether or not he could have his earphones on during takeoff.. 2 flight attendants had to address him and each time, he kept saying, "I fly every other week for business and this is the first I have heard of this" he was calm, but he held his ground. Pretty soon the whole plane was wishing they would eject him "JUST TURN OFF THE DYAM HEADPHONES EDIAT!!!!!!!!"

The people that were telling me said that the attendants decided that they were not willing to fly with her - apparently she was ranting and raving like a lunatic before they even left the terminal -

If she was drunk, it would only get worse. I wouldn't want to clean up after her.

A letter rarely works - A complaint to the TSA, however, usually gets you a flight credit or something!

I had a problem with Delta in March - they broke the zipper on my suitcase, so it came off wide open, missing two shoes (not a pair, one of each), and other things = I sent in a claim form, and was told it takes 10 - 12 weeks to resolve - When I got home this am I had a letter from them, and fully expected a "suck it up" response - instead, it was an apology for the inconvenience, and notifying me that a check for my losses would be sent next week!

Talk to me Sus! No letter to Delta, went right to TSA? I never thought of that. When I flew to SC to visit my brother for x-mas they busted the wheel off my suitcase. Of course it said that was one of the things that was NOT covered......I had to buy a wheelie cart cuz my suitcase was too daym heavy to carry! This last issue had nothing to do with TSA though, it was all AJ!!

I have always had good luck with them ---until this last trip. I drive 4 hrs to JFK just to hop the nonstop flight to Kingston. I will definitely rethink that for next time!

4 hours of driving in my car would not be worth it to me. Plus parking.

i really don't blame them.. nobody wants to hear that nonsense especially if it was gonna be a long flight.

Barack Obama effectively clinched the Democratic presidential nomination Tuesday, based on an Associated Press tally of convention delegates, becoming the first black candidate ever to lead his party into a fall campaign for the White House.

...

The AP tally was based on public commitments from delegates as well as more than a dozen private commitments. It also included a minimum number of delegates Obama was guaranteed even if he lost the final two primaries in South Dakota and Montana later in the day.

The 46-year-old first term senator will face Sen. John McCain of Arizona in the fall campaign to become the 44th president.

...

Obama's triumph was fashioned on prodigious fundraising, meticulous organizing and his theme of change aimed at an electorate opposed to the Iraq war and worried about the economy—all harnessed to his own innate gifts as a campaigner.

Remember I live in the bush. If I flew from Albany, NY (1 hr away) tickets would be $700 to $800 with at least 1 connection, if not 2. For $370, one tank of gas and parking I drive in the comfort of my own car, stop and shop if I see fit and then take a quick 3 1/2 hr nonstop flight to JA. As long as the moon and the stars line up for Air Jamaica that is.......

Actually, I went straight to Delta with my complaint, and they resolved it this time - I was shocked - I have had other problems with other airlines (such as Spirit) - a complaint letter to them was ignored, I sent that first, then sent a second notice and also filed a TSA complaint - That got their attention and I got a response.

It doesn't matter that it's AJ - they fly into US airports, and still follow TSA guidelines - my friend had a big problem with them, and got no response to her letter - she filed a TSA complaint and got 2 free vouchers and a check for $500 -

OMG....that sounds like way too much hassle. Glad it works for you, though.

Thanks! I will give them the 60 days they say the need to "investigative" my complaint and then I will keep going. They have already acknowledged that they have received it.
