Congrats, Irie, that is so wonderful!

Guana, you have me laughing with your meez comment - I was about to change it to a mopey one, but I will leave it for you! I am so so miserable to be home - each time at the airport it feels like it is harder and harder to leave!

Not sure of dates yet but I will link you before I go. I used to want to live in Maine when I grew up. That was, of course, before I had ever stuck my toe in the JA waters!! Now that is where I want to live when I grow up - the Atlantic ocean will never be the same to me - LOL!!!

Too funny, we must have! My flight finally left at around 8:30 pm from gate 13 - but I was at the airport from around 5 - I finally told DJ to go because I was losing it sitting there with him, and didn't want him to pay for parking anymore and waste money -

Sus & English welcome back;

What is up with Air Jamaica and all the delays that is crazy. I think the worse I've seen was leaving Mobay at 9pm and getting into BWI after midnight.

This time was somewhat legit - there was a HUGE tropical storm so my flight was delayed coming from Kingston - I was supposed to leave at 5 JA time -

A couple I sat next to said that on their flight down, there was a woman causing chaos because she was pissed at sitting in the back - So they decided to remove her from the plane before taking off - Well, she had 3 kids and 7 pieces of luggage, all of which were in different luggage holds - it took them 3 hours, because they had to unload ALL the bags to get hers out then reload the plane.

Lawd Sus;

That happened to me on a flight from England. The lady and her husband was drunk and she also had kids with them (what an example). I felt sorry for the kids becuase they were very young and they had so much luggage and you know the Virgin Atlantic planes a huge.

We won't even go into the 2 page letter I sent to Air Jamaica after it took me 24 hrs to get home (including the stop where I slept in my car at the rest area on the NY thruway because I was exhausted). And I don't mean I just got to hang out in JA another 24 hrs. I was stuck on a plane, an airport terminal, a taxi from Ft Lauderdale to Miami airport, the airport terminal in Miami, etc......my head hurts thinking about that nightmare again when I purchased a nonstop ticket..... :angry:

I tried that on American when they had me stuck in Houston. They pretty much said suck it up!

what?? allt that cuz she didn't want to sit in the back... I bet she was begging for that seat when they threw her rass off the plane! Did she even try to get them to reconsider, apologize? dang, seems like alot of consequences for something so trivial.

One time this guy was arguing about whether or not he could have his earphones on during takeoff.. 2 flight attendants had to address him and each time, he kept saying, "I fly every other week for business and this is the first I have heard of this" he was calm, but he held his ground. Pretty soon the whole plane was wishing they would eject him "JUST TURN OFF THE DYAM HEADPHONES EDIAT!!!!!!!!"

If she was threatening the crew, they have the right and authority to throw them off the plane.

A letter rarely works - A complaint to the TSA, however, usually gets you a flight credit or something!

I had a problem with Delta in March - they broke the zipper on my suitcase, so it came off wide open, missing two shoes (not a pair, one of each), and other things = I sent in a claim form, and was told it takes 10 - 12 weeks to resolve - When I got home this am I had a letter from them, and fully expected a "suck it up" response - instead, it was an apology for the inconvenience, and notifying me that a check for my losses would be sent next week!
