Good Afternoon everyone!

I guess I will stop lurking and post something. I just don't have much to say or add.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend.

It is pretty slow on this thread today so did the weekend start early for some? We should be closing our office in about an hour so I will be off to a slightly early start myself.

Tonight I need to hit the liquor store, grocery store, get home and pack and get ready to take off tomorrow morning for Northern Minnesota to a friend's cabin. It should be a fun weekend of hanging with friends, fishing, eating and drinking. I can't wait to have my future husband here to see all that! Perhaps by Labor Day weekend????

Happy Friday all! I am always thinking about what Louis will think of this or that - no matter where I am! He is going to LOVE the grocery store .. Whole Foods will be like heaven to him! LOL

BTW Louis made it through his medical - will have the results on Monday. He said he had to get naked and the Dr. "played with his balls"! Oh Poor Louis, what people do for Love.

Oh and Jonesie.. he is going to walk down to the fish fry this evening!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend. It's going to be a nice weekend to throw some jerk chicken and fish on the grill.. Yum!

I wish I could come close! My jerk never taste any thing like real jerk....any recipes?

Oh, guys.....I'm so discombobulated today. Our receptionist didnt' come in yesterday and didn't call. Story came out she left her house in her pajamas Wednesday night after fighting with her daughter. Lots of family problems and outside stresses. While the family wasn't too worried they hadn't heard from her, we were frantic here. After some urging, they contacted a family friend who was a policeman and worked on tracking her. They found her at a local hospital.....she had swallowed a whole bunch of pills. Last I heard, she was critical and on a ventilator. It all just makes me so sad.

We basically work for 500+ priests, so I suppose she's in good hands right now.

Ha....ha.....and as I'm arguing with my husband in the grocery store, I will smile remembering you said this.

HA... i knew a vet would get me good for this comment LOL.. so next time I think of walking down the produce aisle w/ RG, I will think of u and andre arguing in the grocery store and b thankful that I can shop for bananas in peace Just kidding.. LOL ain't love GRAND

Oh and speaking of nice weather. I remember i was just on here talking about how hot it was...like 100 degrees...well why yesterday did we get some freak of a storm that brought tornados, and hail?! I was just dying of heat this past weekend with 100 degree weather and now we're in some global warming freak storm? This is soooo not LA weather...if people don't believe in global warming they really need to move to this place. I have never seen such crazy all over the place weather as I've seen here in the last couple years.

Anyway, hope you all have a great holiday weekend. I hope the sun comes out for us...when it does it'll probably be live 104

haha, this reminds me of my husband. he tells me all the time that Jamaicans think our bananas taste like cardboard! haha...,they do once you've had a Yaad banana.

I love Whole Foods too though.They're crazy expensive but good variety of stuff. I used to design them at my last workplace.

I used to have that feeling....wondering about what it'll feel like to have him here with me to do the shopping....now every chance I get, I go alone. lol Cause he's always giving me ####### about how we don't need this or that When I'm with him I haveto justify need vs want. We have "Wild Oats".....yeah, crazy expensive. All natural. I go there to get raw almonds.....I love those things!

I'm supposed to be working on a statistics paper for the ANOVA testing process with two variables, and complete with graphs but my mind just ain't there right about now. I just found out that Capleton will be performing after our Carnival this Sunday...wanna go bad too but this paper is due by Monday.

Yeah Capelton is gonna be in LA for the UCLA jazz/reggae fest on monday. Mr. Vegas and Alaine, Stephen marley and afew others are there too.

Hey All....

Thanks Lawny, Michelle, Kimmy, Gill, Kell and everyone else who posted this week for thinking of me and Dave. JFK was a little hectic.....especially for a someone like me who not only wanted to go outside and smoke cigarettes while I was waiting for Dave but let's not forget.....I HAD THE NOTORIOUS SPACE BOOT (as Lawny put it) on my ankle as well!!!

I got to New York around 12:30pm, talked to Lawny around then while I was waiting for Dave to fly in. He FINALLY got there around 3pm (you know Air Jamaica was late getting in LOL). Everything went pretty good from there. Dave said he was surprised to see all these people "standing" in the International Arrivals section of the airport when he got off the plane. He said he thought there was about to be a concert or something and I just laughed. Ninja Man also came off the same plane and let me tell you....he was looking a HOT mess! The whole day was pretty interesting but we finally made it back to pittsburgh around 10pm that night. Dave said he had no problems getting the work stamp or with the INS folks either.

Yesterday, we basically rode around...went to get groceries etc. Hung out with my mom and then went out to eat with some of my friends. Dave's dad (who lives in N.Y.) asked us to come up for the weekend but we told him we have to hold off till I get back to work etc. Dave wanted me to tell all of you thanks for all your well wishes and support. He said he feels like he's been a part of Visa Journey himself. LOLLL He seems really happy so far....the only thing he didn't like was how "cold" it was here and I was like, hold on to your seat because 68 degrees is warm in Pittsburgh for right now. Wait to you see November!!!!

I just wanted all of you to know that I was o.k. and that we were doing o.k. Dave went with me to the doctor's so I could finally get rid of the Space Boot on my ankle, but it looks like I'll be wearing it for atleast 2 more weeks. Probably didn't help that I went to New York and walked around for 12 hours the other day! My doctor probably wonders why my ankle was so swollen, I'm sure. LOLLLLL But guess what??? My doctor gave me another 6 WEEKS OFF WORK which was WAYYYY more than I though I would get so Life is Good! I'll have to let you know how the weekend goes and what me and Dave are up to next week.

Everyone have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

We will be grilling jerk pork and jerk chicken with that famous side of rice and peas. Sorry wish I could help with the recipe of jerk chicken but DH makes it. He uses a lot of Jamaican spices and blends them in the blender that is all I know. I just make the rice and peas. When I don't have to make a complete meal its a great day.
