Claire I am so sorry to hear that - Hang tough, June is just around the corner! I think that if there is any lesson to be learned from this, it is to be overprepared and have too much stuff - It seems like they change their minds willy nilly on what they want.

Bad News Guys. :crying::crying::crying::crying:

I am crying my heart and eyes out right now. Mike's interview was rescheduled for June because he did not have the second copy of the police certificate. I look and realized that I still have the extra copy. I had emailed the consulate, after Tonya posted and said Drew was asked for his, and was told that it was not necessary for him to have it if it was sent to the NVC

Now when he got there he was turned back. They did not even do the interview and schedule a time for him to drop it off, they rescheduled the whole interview. How can they be so cruel and disheartening?

I have to talk to him when he gets home to get the full story.

Learn from my experience all who have their interviews coming up. Make sure you have the second copy of the police certificate with you.

I'm sick to my stomach. That damn piece of paper don't even look so official. I understand that's what they're doing now with the immigrant visa. If you're missing something they won't even do the interview. Some people are lucky enough to get through and be given a blue slip to come back. Thank God, June is next month.

Oooooohhhhh! I want to go to JA!!!! I am missing my honey and I would love to get out of town!

I do hope to get there some time this summer, but as I am sure many of you can sympathize, it is hard to make plans when I don't know when the NOA2 will get done. It would be nice to bring down papers. But it would also be nice to be able to attend the interview at the Embassy. But I doubt I could swing both trips. I LOVE to plan vacations and THIS is frustrating having to wait and see. I am NOT a wait and see gal!

Missy H.,

I so hear you...you don't know if you are coming or going! I did the same thing! However, I finally got so fed up I book a trip for January in November only to get my NOA2 2 weeks later  ! So then, I had to go back down in March...but it's all good...I will never complain about going tuh Yard!

Good luck and hang tight!

Gill

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!

Well guess what I received yesterday in the mail??? Yup - the elusive NOA2

:D:P B) :)

Thank you Gill for your kind words. Thank you everyone for being here to vent to. Aye Carumba!!! Progress! Finally!

Congrats Mrs H!!! That's quite a feeling when you see that e-mail in your inbox.

Well, now tht I spoke with him things do look better. He actuallygot there a little after 8am and got #25 and went through to the CO who reviewed his papers and said everthing is ok but she needs the other copy of the PC. When he comes back with it, he will get the visa. I looked at the copy that I have and it seems like it is the original, so I will bring it down when I go in two weeks. He is rescheduled for June 26th.

Thank you all for your empathy in this overwhelming situation. I really appreciate it. I am more upset about it than he is. He said that it will work itself out and that God know best. Not to worry. I wish I had the inner calm that he has. Thngs like this does not bother him as much as it does me.

Question: LT brought to my attention that Ken may not have his AOS completed or AP by November. I am trying to do some AOS planning and I need to figure out where the heck my file will be sent so I can check the timeline. Does anyone know from NY where the AOS would go?

Thanks,

Good afternoon Trelawny,

I stayed at The Courtleigh Hotel and Suites in Kingston, whenever I go to JA. I love the hotel, because the buffet breakfast is included in the cost of the room. Whenever I am there I only need to eat my breakfast at the hotel since my in-laws are feeding me for lunch and dinner. I give this hotel a 4.5 rating, it is clean, safe and was very accommodating to my indivual needs. This might sound a little snobbish it is a real Hotel, not a motel(like motel8). I don't want anyone to take this wrong, but I hate motels.

Tre, I strongly recommend this hotel, but again , to each it own.

I called the Dept. Of State (202#) and they told me that a visa has not been issued yet and that our case is still being reviewed by the embassy and they are checking out all the information on our documents to see if they check out. Is this normal procedure? I was hoping Marla would get the visa by Thurs. so she could fly over on Fri.

It has been 12 days since interview.

Thanks Roxie, no offense taken. I don't do motels either. After finding condoms (USED) in the bathtub that was it for me. No more motels.

thanks for the great info. I was thinking of staying at a hotel the night of interview so we aren't late for the 730 appointment. Are these hotels near the Embassy?

Thanks

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others
