Question..

If u were on a investigation panel..investigation sexual harassment. The alleged harasser deniew the claim and the hrassed says it happened..and has 1 witnes that said she saw advances and such..and a boyfriend she told of the incident..what would u do in this case being on the panel ?

Does anyone know where my SO can get his medical done (and the price)? He was telling me about some place in Mandeville but I think it would be better if he went to a place where people normally go.

Also..for those who filed the CR1/IR1 - What did you provide as "proof of a bonafide marriage" when you put together the I-130 package?

Hey Marie..there are 3 places I believe he can have it done..one in Moby..which is Mobay Hope and the other 2 are in Kingston...I know Dr.Banbury is one..not sure of the other name..hope that helps

U know..I didn't send in anything with our I 130...we provided no "proof" until the day of the interview. I know some of the others..sent in like a photo together or something like that

Okay maybe I'm just sort fused today. But OMG am I sick of waiting on this NOA2. I'm in the process of planning another trip to JA to see my SO but since I did just return March 6, I was going to try and wait and go when he was approved so he wouldn't have to fly alone. The waiting is driving us both crazy. He always tells me "Don't wurry yuself it soon come. Well now i'm telling him the same thing. This is nuts! I've been waiting since November...I received a touch 12/20/07 and nothing else since.. Any other November filers waiting for an NOA2?

It was driving me crazy too so I know how you feel. It took me from Oct- Jan before I even got an NOA1!!! At that time the K1's out of CSC were flyin out the door. Now CSC is processing CR1's and the K1's there have slowed down. What they do is rotate the workload by case type. So when K1 speeds up CR1/IR1 slows down...and vice versa. I think VSC is processing K1's now as the CR1's slowed down a great deal over there. Poor Shrewdie has been waiting for her Noa2 since Oct!!! So please pray for her. Its just the luck of the draw in a sense unless you research when to submits your app first. I'm sure you'll be getting an NOA2 soon. CSC has been cranking those CR1's out fast and its soon time for them to switch again.

I was going to call my friends that are adopting for you yesterday and see if they knew any info to help you but I got a text from our other friend that "their baby" was adopted by someone else so I didnt figure now to be the best time to act.

I have thought about it and what I think would be BEST (easiest/cheapest) is for you guys to get him in Jomo's custody in JA(since he is family this would be super easy). THEN file the I-130.

If I find conflicting (or better) info I will let you know.

Did you find out anything else?

Does anyone know the email address for the Embassy in Kingston? I want to contact them to inquire if they are wheelchair accessible. I am planning ahead just in case my broken ankle is not totally healed by then.

Has anyone's SO doing the IR/CR process, ever attended the interview by themselves and has a good outcome? I want so much to be there and I am hoping and praying I can attend.

Thanks Tonya...funny thing is we didn't even make it to the beach. Girl I was in HEAT like crazy and didn't even get none on this trip. (told me I can't get none until I get better) I was very sick when I got to Jamaica. His friend took me directly to a party they were having then I had to leave shortly after that because my grandmother had a stroke the same day I got there. Girl it has been a roller coaster and now it's worse. Marcel mother had a stroke Sunday evening and he's in tears. He's mom's heart and it's really hard on him. He's the middle child and she has all boys and she will need full time care. The nurses were teaching him and his mothers how to bath his mother and his other brothers ran out of the room.

Girl, it's always something, but I'm praying. Good news is my sister and the baby is getting better and the baby is growing. My sis water broke at 5 months and they're trying to keep the baby in until week 23 to deliver him.

Girl.....I am so sorry to hear about Marcel's mother and your grandmother......Great news about sis and baby though........I will keep all of you in my prayers.......Hang in there Lawny........Hugs to you and Marcel.......

How is my baby girl doing (mi naw chat bout u)...how di baby. I miss you. Were you been. Girl on the SH matter I would have to hear both sides and take it from there. Is this the first incident? Was it reported before? Was it reported right away? I didn't even know there was such a thing as third party sexual harrassment. I've seen people get written up or fired at my job. The harrassment was not directed to you, but you were offended by it.

Totally off topic I went shopping with my co-worker yesterday...I didn' t know it was possible to drop $4500 buying clothes in less than 1 hour. I wish I could have captured the look on my face. I had to ask her how she could or why she would pay $250 for a undershirt, because that's what it looked like. For those of you who've been to DC and shopped in Georgetown...what and expensive place.

I guess, I'll keep shopping at Sears, Walmart, Target and Kmart. She also told me it's bad and not SEXY to buy panties in a BAG...what a stress.

didja tell her it doesnt matter how the panties come...its all in how you work 'em. hahaha

As for the SH...oh yes girl there is such a things 3rd party reports. The reporter took some time to report it her excuse was that she was afraid of retaliation..but yet she knew she was protected by that law...she told her boyfriend..and a friend of her's was there when they found a note the harasser left on her car. It is the 1st offense...him swear blind seh him no know wah she a talk bout and that him try him best fi mek sure him no cross di "line"

Good to see you! IDK...if you have written proof (with the note), a witness that is non-partisan...the boyfriend's testimony I would throw out! Then I would give him a written warning. Just my $0.02!

Yup...I have an ING account...what I like is it takes it out and I don't even think about it! I basically use it for $$ I get from my 2nd job (or at least I was until Missa Young's arrival... ) Plus, I have to do some good budgeting b/c it's not immediately available for withdrawal...if I request money...it typically takes 2 bus days to hit my account! Not to mention the really good interest rate!

I would highly recommend it!

For the sexual harassment - it would depend on what the policy is - Is the first offense a warning or termination - in a case like that, of course the harasser is going to deny it - But there is proof (the note) and a witness.

As for Ing, I use them and LOVE them - they have checking and savings and CDs now - The checking account gives you a visa debit card, and they run specials all the time where all purchases that you make using it as a credit card gives you 1% cash back - I bought my car out when they were running the special, and used my card as credit to do so - Nice chunk of change back! They also offer great interest rates - The only problem is that transfers can take a few days to clear and be available - But I don't have the issue anymore since I opened the checking account as well. Another plus is they didn't charge me any foreign transaction fees when I used it in JA.
