I love the neti pot = It takes some getting used to, because you have to have your head in the right position, or you learn everywhere that your sinuses connect to, lol! But, it has made such a difference to me - I was sick two weeks ago that started with swollen glands and quickly went to my sinus - Usually for me (I am really resistant to antibiotics), that would mean 6 weeks on strong antibiotics and prednisone - I am on the last week of my antibiotic course (15 days), no steroids, and the infection part is gone.

jax she is a cutie!!! i wish Kaila would have kept her eyes open when we tried to get her pic taken....

after a "c" take it nice and slow and easy....the first couple of days were horrible for me....it is getting a little easier i still have some pain and my back is killing me...i can feel where they stuck the epidural twice(first time didn't work) and plus all my labor pains were in my back....can't wait till i get better and go to the chiropractor....

Shauna I hope you feel better. Wow 2 Eps!! I never had to get one since they schedule my C-section. I am take my pain pills home to help the pain. The surgery was no joke though because I had two other surgieres it was hard to get her out. They had to vacuum her out thank goodness she was small. I was also allergic to the spinal tap with the drugs that put you under. I couldn't stop itching for 2 days and threw up. Yuck. I am so use to be allergic to things that it didn't phase me.

Shauna get plenty of rest and all the best on your recover. Speaking of rest I need some.

yup 2...this first one he couldn't get in the right area....if i could have i would have punched him cause he and the nurse were talking about Hawaii and where his kids were going to school...and my contractions were coming right after anothet and i was laying there thinking hello it's not working i am still in pain.....so they sat me up again and that time it worked...i got the shakes really bad.afterwards my legs itched like crazy and they had to vacum her out as well....

i just looked at your pics....she is sooo cute!!! i have a pic of my right after surgery...i don't think i will post that i look sssoo horrible....

take it easy....

Novelette how are your allergies? I have been suffering so much the last couple of weeks. My voice is barely audible and I have the worst post nasal drip.

My allergies are horrible and I agree with the post nasal drip - Admin professionals day didn't help last week - everyone had fresh flowers on their desk!

I have been using the neti pot 2-3 times a DAY, trying to keep ahead of the infection that usually follows my allergies.

Sus,

I share your PAINNNNNNNNN big time. That's why I said I was looking like MAD MAVIS since last week. People at work keeping asking if I'm okay because it looks like I've been crying for hours. I've tried Claritin, Zyrtec and some other name I can't spell and all they do is make me HYPER. The only thing that works is the PINK Benadryl and while it does work 100% I have to fight with all my might to try to stay away. Imagine doing that and working with a 2 million dollar budget.

I'm going back to sleep now.

JA to CT......he said he did remember a Brenda in the main dining room. He thought she left before he did. Something to do with being a Christian...some job....or something.

First I would like to say Hello! I have spent days reading in order to try to "meet" as many of you as possible :) You all are such nice group and I think it is wonderful how everyone is so helpful...Lord knows I am overwelmed and I considered myself pretty smart to start with  I dont know if its because I started this with a "ill never get this attitude" or what but Im sure u will get sick of me reallll soon...Im not sure which one of u it was but I do want to thank the person who welcomed me to the board...It was my first official welcome and I guess I erased it cause I cant find it and I dont remember exactly who it was (I think it was Trewlany but correct me if Im wrong) Anyway the knowledge u all have Im sure will be helpful and thank u in advance...Ok my first question...lol where do I start? I think the K-1 fiance visa is goin to be our route (he would rather we get married now but I told him I thought it was easier to do this rather thn K-3) please correct me if Im wrong...but what does he need to have already before I even send in the application? He never got a birth certificate so does he have to have that in hand before the start? should he also already have a passport? Well group Im goin to apologize now cause I know Im goin to get worse with the thousands of questions...but I have faith between u all and prayers it will all work out...off topic but I get to see my honey friday only for a long weekend but any time is better than none...so Ill be in good spirits for this week now next...lol not so sure

Welcome to the yardie thread Momto2 (F). I recommend reading the guides here on both the K1 (fiance) and K3 (Jamaican ceremony) to see the pros and cons of each. One thing that makes no sense to me right now is the price of the fiance visa, which is over $1000 US - when I filed in 2005 it was significantly less. The benefits and allowances that your man will have will depend on what visa you file.

Definitely have your man get his birth certificate (at least two copies, if not three) and passport ASAP. You can request that USCIS mail the visa forms to you or you can download and print them and carry them to JA and you both can work on them together.

Start gathering all proof of your relationship now (photos, plane itineraries, cards, statements from friends/family that may have been with you when you went to visit him, receipts, etc.) and with every trip you take before you file, hold on to anything that shows you spent time with him.

Feel free to ask questions - we are all here to help one another

Nanny and Jax - your little ones are adorable

I still can't believe that the both of you are on the internet after having given birth  all I wanted to do was eat and sleep! And with both of you recovering from c-sections...all I can do is bow down and commend you on your strength. I hope you ladies have quick recoveries.

Anyone know anyone who adopted from Jamaica?

yes.

I am talking about Jomo and I adopting his orphaned nephew. If you think you can help me, either post some info or PM me, Shrewdie. We have been talking about it for about 3 years now......it was a stipulation of my accepting his proposal. Anyhow, we are close to wanting to start to file some paperwork......this fall or so. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
