:ot: Morning ladies, I have a quick question to anyone who has booked with Air Jamaica directly through their website. I found the cheapest nonstop flight for the specific times I wanted on there but I don't see an option to choose your seats before purchasing. I don't want to purchase without picking my seat as I know I need an aisle seat. Is it that they randomly assign a seat?

You have to call them.

They can assign you a seat there and then....Be warned will take up to half an hour to get through!

For me its just easier to call them. So I can get the seat I want. When I purchased online I had to show up early to check in to get the seat I wanted.

Ok M2B. My birthday is 6/6. Can I fit into your carryon? I hope you got a seat close to the front of the plane, cause when the plane lands it is like a mad rush to get off. :rofl:It is like they have something in the airport giving away to the first person that gets off :rofl:

:rofl: no way!!! that is too funny girl.. mommy make sure u sit back and wait on di people dem mi gyal.. hubby be all vexed if ya hurt yuhself in di mad dash off di plane

FUH REAL!!!!! (But, I'm one of those crazies  ) But, trust me after I do the 2000m sprint to immigration and see the line is a few people ...I'm like "Yeah! :D :Knocking dung deh Granny han deh 7 pickney dem was worth hit!" Because trust mi by the time yuh ton round...the line is twisting back and forth han people pon deh line fuh days! My boys knew the drill...as soon as the door opens and we get off "RUN!!!...Just stand pon deh line han wait fuh mi! Let people guh ahead one by one ...til mi reach!"...But it's more hurry hup han wait fuh deh bags dem inna customs ... A MESS!!

Bless,

Gill

I hate it when I speed thru customs and then have to sit and wait for my bags. Then as soon as I have my bags load up on the trolly the nothing to declare line is long as hell

When you are in the 'nothing to declare line with 4- 70lbs bags, for a 5 day stay and the Customer Service person is looking at you like you must be crazy. Then you proceed to explain 1 bag is for shoes, another for make -up and the other 2 bags contains at least 4 change of outfits per day. All the while you are whispering under your breath, I will never bring another thing to JA that doesn't belong to me. At the same time hoping that no one wants to look inside any of the bags.

When they first opened my bag after my 12th trip I was like oh my they got me this time. I should of went to a guy and not a lady or maybe I shouldn't of waved to my friends who are immigration officers. I had goods for people but they didn't charge me. The Lord was looking after me that day. So know if I see my friends when going through the line I act as I don't know them because I found out immigration officers and the people who go threw your bags work for different people.

Oh...I forgot to tell ya'll...

Ken got his SS card on Monday!!! He was so dyam happy! He is hitting the job trail tomorrow! Fingers crossed that someone is willing to work with us until we can file his AOS and get his permanent SS & Green Card!

The SS card says "Valid for Work only...with authorization from DHS" Which I believe is where the EAD stamp comes in.

Questions:

1). Is the EAD stamp the 'authorization they are referring to?

2). Does anyone know if the SS number will change once he gets his permanent SS Card?

Cause I know people that are trying to link him up with a job...but it will be a problem if they start and continue to take $$ out of his check for this SSN during the AOS waiting time...only to find out his SSN changed.

DO my questions make sense?:wacko:

Thanks & bless-ed, Gill

SSN will not change, Gill. He'll just have to go back to the SSA and get a new card when the green card comes.

Good Morning Claire,

Your time is coming. I'm so happy for you.

My fiance's friend has a follow-up appointment at the embassy this morning and he text me and told me that it looks like the guard that pulled my dress at the embassy went back to work today. He should have been FIRED! But I didn't want to push any buttons since the interview wasn't scheduled yet and no approval. I'm still very much upset about it.

My sister had a scare yesterday it took them 2 hours to find the baby's heartbeat and entire time my mom kept suggesting that they turned my sis and they refused. So, the doctor comes in and asked "didyou try to turn her" soon as they did that they found the heart beat. I was so scary. So, please keep my sis in your prayers. My little brother is doing okay. He went back to work yesterday.

I managed to get 3 hours sleep last night. Haven't slept since Monday. I look like MAD MAVIS!

Thanks English;

It wasn't really surgery, more like a procedure. They had to shock his heart back into the proper rhythm. It's happend before when he was 18 I think. My little brother is my HEART. I love him so much. He's the perfect gentleman and I hope my son picks up his spirit. We use to be sooooooooo CLOSE, but when he started dating it kind of change, but just a little. I still love him though. When he was born I was 12 years old and people thought he was my son. I use to irritate my mom. I was like, are you guys NUTS! My mother would have killed me if I had a child that young. My little brother is my heart, because he's just a CALM and PATIENT person. He never yell, curses, gets upset, NOTHING. He just takes one day at a time and he's EXTREMELY polite. So, when he told me he was feeling funny I knew exactly what was wrong.

Hey English,

I didn't know a car had ran into the Jamaican store RED APPLE that's located in Langely Park last month. I went there last night to buy some saltfish and the owner was telling me.
