Congrats Nanny on the birth of your child, that's wonderful news!

Lawny,

Thanks for your beautiful prayer this morning and congrats on your interview dates! Even though you are going through some things right now and you had a bad experience at the embassy, things are looking up for you!

LOL, Costs are really really outdated! Try around $60,000 -

How come my raises are never parallel to inflation??????????????????????

That's what I want to know! And I work in the legal field - I see our fees going up, but it's definitely not showing in my raise!

We are dealing with the divorce issue now - DJ was married before, and long story short, even though they have been split for years and his ex served him with papers, she never filed them. So, it's $5000 for an attorney to sit down and hear your story, and another $60,000 to complete the divorce - Plus, the "fees being paid over time" doesn't seem to exist. It's money upfront.

I found a flight for those dates on Delta for 387.00 including taxes. This price is only on this site, if you go to Delta it is higher. I am a travel ageant, so I did some searches for you.

Hope this is helpful.

Roxcie or anyone else really,

do you think I should just book my ticket now for early June even though the prices are incredibly high or take my chances later for some last minute fares? I'm worried if I book now at $500+ from nyc that in a few weeks there will be a sale or something and prices will go down.

Sorry to hear all your problems, Lawny - praying for your family! Delta has those dates for $384 - connecting flight, though

Sus you should be a travel agent in your next life!! You can find a deal!!

LOL, Island - I am the ultimate bargain hunter!

Mommy - My attitude towards airfare is this - If I find a price that I think sounds reasonable and is within my budget, I book - and then try to not stress if the prices drop lower. Because if you don't book, you also run the risk that they will go higher - Sometimes I get the best deal, sometimes I find cheaper - but I can't let that stress me out.

Remember your dates are in the mist of summer vacations, therefore the prices are not going to be going dowm much, unless you get one of Spirit Airline specials. Note with the megers of Airlines, we all can expect to pay more not less in the future.

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

Oh, Sus, I'm so sorry. Like you need those issues in the middle of all the visa related ones. I hope it all works out very quickly and easily for you.

We are talking JA conversion, right? Even so, it's still so darn much.

sus..i hope u get a discount or something..my gosh that's a lot

I am talking $60,000 JA, not US - Unfortunately, I work in commercial litigation, and not JA family law so no discount! But, I spent lots of time researching the issue before DJ went to a lawyer and filed - that seems to be the going rate in most of JA, even for a straight up divorce, no kids, no property,....
