How much was the goat? I am wondering what a good deal is? Plus anybody know the secret to tenderizing this ere American goat?

We pay around $3.69 a lb. Andre doesn't tenderize overnight. He just cooks it down for hours and hours. Same way with the oxtail. We eat both every week.

I'm going to ask that ya'll pray for me. I leave in 2 days and I'm still under the weather. Now, I'm debating whether to delay the the trip or see how I feel by Wednesday.

Don't delay it! Seeing Marcel will lift your spirits. Have you gone to the Doctor? You seem to have been suffering for over a week now. Yuh should maybe check the doctor. Have you been drinking fluids? Are they still 'flu-like' symptoms? I am praying that you feel better QUICK!

Thanks baby girl. It's not the FLU and I was treating it like it was a cold. I have horrible allergies. I take ZYRTEC, but it makes me feel like MAD MAVIS. I had a strep test, chest x-ray (because I have asthma) so all is clear, but my eyes, throat, mouth ITCHING like crazy. Gill, link mi in PM with the #s.

I hope it didn't take 9 hours like the last time I cooked goat. That was the longest it's ever taken. I got so fustrated I drove over to my parents house for dinner.

9 hours is a bit long, Tre. Did you have to kill the goat first?

I'd say on average, Andre probably cooks it down for about 4 hours. And, I cannot express enough how much I DID NOT like it in the crock pot. It did not cook down enough to soften.

Oxtail is okay in the crock pot if you leave it on all day.

DAMN JG -- I can't even laugh. My voice is so deep I sound like Barry White. I can't believe all of this is from allergies. JG Have you ever had to take a STERIOD injection?

No, but I was on inhalers for years till they figured out what would control them. My allergies triggered asthma and I was miserable.

Hang in there. They will figure out a course of medications that will fix it....eventually.

yup and they are so easy to set up and take down!!! perfect for traveling because it is easy to carry and comes in a circular back pack thing isn't heavey at all!!

Ok, I am pathetic....its already 6pm here and I didnt even get dressed for the day...LAZY!!! I cannot believe it...at least I finally got my taxes done.

Man I wish I could stay in bed all my day. Our house was to much of a mess for me. Hubby cleaned the cars and garage while I did the kitchen, dinning room, living room and half bath. I promised to clean our bathrooms but maybe I will get to that tomorrow after work. Thanks to him I only have to work a half a day. I have to drive him home from getting his wisdom tooth out.

Oh man, I cannot wait til Evan is here to help with the yard. I was just out there yesterday, cutting the grass and scooping up dog poo. Today I need to clean the bathroom and living room, and wash my car but I'm jst too lazy.

I know the feeling on the solo house and car work. Sucks so bad. I did mine this weekend and my bones still ache from racking leaves.
