There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Hey ladies!!

Hope you all had a good weekend. I am back from the city. We went to visit hubbies cousin. He was so excited cause his cousin made pumpkin soup, cornmeal porridge, jerk chicken, rice and peas, Jamaican bread, fried plantain and had D&G soda. Then his cousin took us to the south side of Chicago to the African Caribbean grocery store. We are all stocked up now and can make our own food. Now I can try all these recipes cause I have the right ingredients. I want to make some pumpkin soup tonight. I hope its good. Spent way to much. His cousins family and friends all came out on Saturday just to meet us. It was nice and they bought us some cute baby out fits, bottles, bibs and burp rags.

Shauna any day now. Did they tell you that they would induce you if you went past 42 weeks?

Speaking of receipes...I made curry goat last night  .

I used the recepie Yards gave me (thanks ((((YARDS)))) ). Well the receipe was on point but my skills were not. The goat was pretty tough...at least much tougher than I am used to having it. I realized I should of tenderized the meat the night before.

So do you ladies have any suggestions for making the goat meat tender? I've heard this was a problem on the Yardie thread before....any suggestions for my next batch?

Yes.....READ..........just don't watch any videos of childbirth, especially near the end of the pregnancy.

FUH REAL!! Towards deh end of my 1st pregnancy I was 'A Baby Story" junkie on TLC and would drive everyone crazy crying about what this and that woman had to go through .:no: Drove myself dyam near crazy!

Just take it in stride..YOU WILL BE FINE!! :luv:

OMG!!! Gill!!! I am the same way with this show. I love it, but its so sad sometimes. I tell yuh!! One weekend mi watch wan marathon of "A Baby Story". Wooooo.....mi seh mi neva kno so many tings dat can go wrong! After that I was amazed by all the little healthy babies I had known. I do love that show though and would love to do it...already talked to hubby about it. He thinks I a reality show freak.

Funny story...my best friend since grade school was on one of them shows....as the baby being born!!!! haha. My mother was preggers with one of my many siblings and during one of her doc visits she was watching the video in the waiting room and saw my BF mom and dad going through the motions like on Baby Story and even the labor  . I thought that was hilarious.
