Gill

can we at least get the paperwork filed before you send me Baby vibes?? LOL

Sus, you know Gill is getting ready for her TWINS (girls). They'll be here on Thursday, April 3, 2008 for sure. Lawd...poor Ken naw go get now sleep.

If packet 3 arrives first, just pretend you didn't know Tre. He would be so excited to tell you first anyhow!

But, come one.........we are talking about Jamaica here. What are the odds of the packet arriving before you do REALLY?

You got that right. He got my Christmas cards a few days after Valentine's Day.

PUH-LEASE!!! I am STILL waiting for my Valentine Day card and CD and the appointment letter from the Embassy! HOT DYAM MESS!!! That's why when Ken said his brother could mail up KJ's birth certificate I was like " HELL NO!!!" Is strictly hand to hand I want that to go...I don't even trust Fed-Ex, DHL or NONE of them!! Hopefully, it can go ...Ken's Brother- Lawny- my sister - me!!!

Bless,

Gill

It's been 2 years, Gill............We are still waiting for the appointment letter!

WHAT! I thought you needed it for the medical and the interview. WTH!

No worries Chica. They send one to the Bene and one to the Peti. Ken (Bene) got his...me (Peti) didn't! So as long as ONE of you gets it you should be fine! The 202 # also told me they could fax a copy FROM THE EMBASSY to you if you needed it!

Gurl, you han deh 202# ah guh be deh BEST ah friend when your time come! They even started knowing me by voice! One lady was like weren't you the one with the sneaky Baby Mama...that 'lost' your fiance's son's Birth Certificate!:lol:

Just be nice when you call...they are all pretty nice!

Gill

Gill I have a question for you about the 202#. When do you call them? I called them this morning and they could not give me any info about Mike's case. They were only able to tell me that the case is current and is at the NVC. When I told her that the case was completed on 3/3 she was only able to tell me that the case was not yet forwarded to Kingston. Is it only after the case is forwarded to Kingston, they can access it to give you info. What kind of info did you garner from them?

Is it even necessary for me to call them. NVC told me this morning that my case has not yet been forwarded to Kingston. I got the interview date on 3/25 but it is still in NH. I thought that once an interview date is assigned, it would then be shipped immediately to Kingston.

I found that the USPS Express Mail flat rate envelope has been the best way to mail things - It's a flat fee of $25, and so far, it has taken about 4 days to reach (they say it takes 6-8). Plus, there is tracking included with it -

USPS to where?

To Jamaica - I have used it to send to Ocho Rios, Portland, and Negril -

I see. That is considerably cheaper than DHL or Fed ex. I used them last year and it cost me $60. Fed Ex was charging me $95. I hope to get the interview letter and forward it to Mike and I am just so worried that he will not get it if I send it USPS. Doesn't it have to go through the Ja mail system too? At least with DHL, they will deliver it to whatever address I send it.

Clariey,

Once your case is in KNG...the 202# is much more helpful! However, it may work differently for you though b/c of the visa you have! I started calling 202# once Ken dropped off his DS-230...they were able to tell me the same day that his DS-230 had been accepted and his case was complete for an interview date! But our interview dates are issued by Embassy, not NVC...they were the one's who told me WHAT the actual interview date was, what documentation I should and should NOT take down. How to proceed with KJ's visa, when Ken's visa was issued, ...etc.

I hope this info is somewhat helpful!

My point exactly. I'd rather spend the extra dough for this particular mailing than chance it getting into the JA mail system.

I used to mail Andre a card a day through the regular post office. Exactly 8 days to delivery for each of them. But for important stuff, there is no way in hell I would mail them regular mail. Too many things end up missing. I used to use UPS. Usually cost me about $35-50 whenever I used them. One time it was FREE cause they didn't deliver on the promised day and I pushed the issue. That one was $98. Woo hoo for me!

JG that was my experience as well..regular mail for little cards and notes ,letters and such..and like yuh say 8-10 days it was there...I used USPS also once for a package i was sending my niece for her b-day..this was a huge box and it cost like $80 bucks....the thing is they can't promise express delivery even if u pay the extra cash delivery cause it HAS to go thru JA mail system..my nieces stuff arrived 1 wk later than anticipated

It does go through the JA mail system - So far, I haven't had any problems with it - everything has reached, and it is held at the post office for the recipient - I can track it online and let them know when it arrives. But, I used it to send pictures that I could easily reprint - With something important, I probably would pay more money for the guarantee.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

I have 140 pages to catch up on!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!

How is everyone?

Does it matter if you owe taxes every year? What exactly is it that they want to see? Alos, is there a certain amount of money you should have in your bank account? I only plan on providing information on one of my bank accounts, but was wondering if I need to provide information on all three. This of course is whenever I get to this point. Just curious....

As long as you meet the poverty guidelines, you'll be fine. You don't have to show them any of your bank accounts or assets if you make enough money. They just need proof of your income - pay stubs and a letter from your bank stating your total deposits. As for your tax returns, it's just more proof that you made enough money.

Rhonda- HOW CUTE!!!!!

Are you just loving it???

:dance:Welcome back Shrewdie!!! I hope you had a good trip and spent some quality time with Hubby!!!

Bless,

Gill

Thank you,Gill, I did. We had a great time. We hit all the normal middle island spots we usually do.

God did some great things and is beginning to heal our relationship. I have to pray to Him everyday for me to see the truth and not believe Satan's lies. I also have to pray for faith to act properly when HIS truths are revealed.

I got to visit my "summer church" and spend a great time there at Easter. Im getting so recognized in that area that we just were driving to a friends house and stopped to get a drink and these people came up to us and were like.."rosa?" it was strange. ahhaha

The pastor that I first started going to JA with its like that, everywhere we go they all know him.

This past weekend I lead a mission trip training for our summer JA missions team. 32 people. Isnt that great? This summer we will be re-roofing and re-plumbing a school in Flankers (Ms. Pearl's school..dont know the name of it) and I will be leading the teaching for a few days! NUTSO :) We are also building a new dorm at WEsthaven Handicapped Orphanage and visiting Blossom Garden's baby orphanage (there are a brother and sister there we want to adopt and plan to start as soon as we get the husband here). WE will also be passing out supply bags in Flankers.

THEN the latter part of the trip we are building a room on the house we have been working on for like 3 years. hahaha and leading some church services and working at Benson's childrens home in Christiana.

I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We could totally use prayers. It is going to cost thousands just to re-roof the school.

anyway. yeah. I had a great time in JA and I am beginning to get a little stressed about how long this is taking. I mean. I filed in October and I dont even have NOA2 yet.

NOT IMPRESSED.

Happy Monday all!

monday.gif

Lawny, thanks for the prayers!

AMEN!!!! COME ONNNNNNNNNNN WEDNESDAY!!!!! Finally, a 'HUMP' day that we can celebrate correctly!!!!:devil::lol:

Lawny, mi dear...mi sarry... I will respond tuh yuh PM!
