UUUUGGGGGHHHHH.....Andre just called me and woke me up to go look at the snow. It is not supposed to snow on Easter. And, why would anyone think I wanted to wake up to go look at it?

WTH is wrong with our weather lately?

We really don't need any more moisture in the state of Missouri. Flooding is so bad right now. I feel horrible for those people who are losing everything.

we had snow yesterday....it all melted 2 hours later....but it is freezing outside with the wind....bbbrrrr

Nanny, you got snow in Deleware?? Wow! Fo you go to Rehobath beach in the summer?

as of the 1st of the year i moved from DE to Pennsylvania....and during the winter yup we got snow...i lived more in the Northern part of DE Wilmington area...Rehobeth was about a little more then an hour from where we lived so on the weekends we could just drive down and walk the boardwalk or meet up withe my Uncle and Aunt who live down there....i like Rehobeth because it is a "smaller" beach and then if you don't want the crowds and no waves you can just drive over to the bay which is calm and very peaceful!

Ohhhhhhh. I guess I could have picked that up from when you said you were doing your state taxes. lol I love the boardwalk there too and the tax free outets. Pennsylvania is nice too though. We use to drive to Philly and go to the basketball games when Iverson played or go to the Dave and Busters. lol

Hey guys, I have a question.

A friend of mine who lives in Jamaica, has been married to her husband since 2004 and he filed for her in 2005 when he was a LPR. He became naturalized in January 2008 and their petition was upgraded. She is now at the NVC stage and her DS-230 was generated on March 17th. She has all of her documents and will apply for her police certtificate on Tuesday, then will DHL/Fed-ex the package to her husband to mail off when he gets the NVC letter.

My question to the Yardies whose spouses have already had their interview in Kingston. What type of evidence of a continuing relationship does she have to provide? She did not take a lot of pictures but her husband visits her in Jamaica every 3-4 months. She has an ATM card where she has access to his account. They have a joint credit union account in JA.

Can she take the banking info, copies of his passport entry and exit stamps and whatever little picture she has? What other evidence do you guys think she will need?

This process is so stressful on their marriage as it is on eveyone else's and I am trying to give her some solid advice and well as reassurance and support. She and I know that her marriage is real, but you never know what the immigration officers will request. I am trying to make sure that she has everything they could possibly ask for and more. I know there would be no reason for denial, but you never know. After what happen with Jason and Marla, I am kinda skeptical about the Embassy practices and their requirements (even though we all know they are ridiculous).

I want my girl to have a pleasant experience and get approved without any hitches, so all the advice and info that can be given will be greatly appreciated.

One Love

I sent my husband a copy of all the information that was requested from NVC and he said that all they asked to see was a couple of pictures and my 2007 tax return. When we got married we didn't have a lot of pictures but every time I went home I made sure I took a lot of pictures together.

I also made him get another copy of the police record and they didn't asked to see it or any of our birth certificate and marriage certificate either.

I told my husband to listen very carefully to there questions because they will try and trick him. He said that after he showed them our family photo's that we took last year the guy (embassy) asked him where is his 3 year old son. My husband said that he had to refrain him self from getting upset with the man. He said to guy ""Sir I told you that I did not have any children of my own"" after that he was granted the visa but he didn't say to him that you are approved just told him to go over to the airpak and pay for the documents to be delivered and when you get the visa there is going to be an evelope and what you do; do not open it, it's for you to bring to the states.

I can't wait for airpak to call my husband because I want to book that plane ticket so bad.

Hey All...

I haven't been on here much lately.....getting ready for the interview next week but wanted u all to know Dave did have his medical on 3/18 as planned. I PM'ed some of u about him still needing a couple of the immunizations for the interview and it seems like it worked itself out. (THANKS to JG, Gill and JaLove for the info.) :)

A lot of places are closed down in JA today and monday cause of the holidays but I spoke with the NVC and the R.N. at Andrews memorial who said Dave can just take the "proof" that he got the shots straight to the Interview and we should be fine.

Thanks for all your advice and words of encouragement. I still got about 30 pages of posts to read before i can catch up on what u all been talking about these last few days ( LOL) but i'll keep everyone posted about my case.

Have a good weekend!

Tonisha

Happy Easter To All & Good Afternoon,

Could you tell me how much it cost you with the shots and medical.....I am prepared for about $300 but just checking?

Thanks,

Tonya

Hey Tonya,

Dave's medical was $90 U.S. at Andrews Memorial and about another $150 U.S. for the shots....IF he would have got them at the Medical appointment. He ended up getting them for about $75 at his own doctor's office yesterday. We forgot all the offices were closed down there on Good Friday so he had to wait.

One thing about trying to get all the shots from the local health district is they don't always HAVE all the necessary immunizations so have ur hubby check on that kinda stuff first. Even if dave would have gone to get his shots before the physical....he still would have gone to 2 or 3 places before someone could do them all.

Tonisha

Does anyone have any experience about a crewmen's visa's?? I friend of mine is married to someone who came off of a cruise ship. he was told that he could never get an AOS because of the type of Visa he had...but can he file an I-130. He is here and doesn't want to go home for her to file, because that could trigger a ban. He knows of someone who also came off his ship who has successfully gotten his greencard through marriage, so we know there is a way, just not sure how.

thanks

and Good Morning Everyone!!!
