:ot: Hope everyone is well. Please continue to keep Andrew & I in your thoughts and prayers. Every time I call that blasted 202# it's still under administrative processing...stating they may need more evidence...how so? I was at the interview with pictures, emails, and phone bills, she never asked to see them once. I don't know what the hold up is...he thinks it may be because there are a few Andrew Cole's, but with all the ####### they collected from him..there is no way to get it twisted. I don't know what to say or do at this point and the Embassy is closed tomorrow and Monday. I know God has a plan..it is just so hard sitting still not knowing what it is. [Jeremiah 29:11]. I apologize for breaking up the topic, but I had to vent. Everyone else states..hold on, don't give up, be encouraged..I am listening, but it is tough. If they needed something, why didn't they ask. I was right there, and why did they give us a pink ticket??? I am so glad once my baby gets here, we will never have to deal with JA Embassy again. His father is here in Miami sponsoring his siblings, and his mom has a visa already!! He is going to still be 1.5 hrs apart from me when he comes [doing it the old fashion way, lol..having him stay with mom till we get married (11 more Saturday's)], but I go there every weekend so it's no big big deal. I just want him here. He is working so so so hard...they had trouble getting his fingerprints..and his mom won't even speak to him because she feels he chose me over her. He is dealing with a lot and anticipating AirPak's call too...I just want to rescue my love you know. Ok I am done venting now. I am so glad I found this site. God bless all of you all. I appreciate you all as well. :dancing: Thanks, Nakia

Oh Nakia,

Gurl, I FEEL your pain! I saw you standing right there with EVERYTHING! This makes NO sense to me!!! I think Andrew maybe right about the 'name thing'!! DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP!!!! Look, I think it is VERY unlikely that they would approve you only to take it back! Have you emailed the Embassy directly to ask them what gives!! If not, then go through the Citizen Services Line...ask to speak to the Ambassadors Office! DON'T GIVE UP!!! YOU HAVE GOTTEN THIS FAR AND AT THIS POINT YOU DO DESERVE AN ANSWER!!!!

You are both in my prayers!

Bless,Gill

Nakia that is crazy. What your counsel saying? Were they able to read/take his prints properly. Girl, that would drive me insane. One more thing, no worry about his mumah, sorry mother. Some Jamaican mothers are like that and as you've read or will read on this board can be a PITA (Pain in the A$$). I'll add you and Andrew to my mom's prayer circle.

Yeah they read his prints properly. Took them like 5 times to get it right. It is driving me insane!! We got approved, but it is still under review, never heard of anything like it. This is what they said:

Performing administrative processes on your case does not necessarily mean that it has to do with what happened at the interview. There are other checks which must be performed by us, separate and apart from what took place at the interview. Please continue to be patient, as the initial person told you that the visa could take up to two weeks and a week has just passed. Once our checks have been performed and everything has been cleared, the visa will be printed and sent off to Airpak.

Regards,

Immigrant Visa Units

Just not knowing what the checks are and the 202# people keep saying more evidence is needed..I don't know what to believe. Thank you so much for adding us in the prayer circle. I need it! I dreamed of the visa all night..Andrew did too and overslept from work..it is stressful....the unknown part of it you know?

Oh Kia, :crying::crying: I am so sorry to hear about the delay.:angry: Just keep praying and remember He did not bring you this far to fail you now. Just exercise some more patience and concentrate on planning your wedding and getting your home ready for him. It will be some adjusting living with someone new and from totally different culture. Focus on those things and time will go by real fast. I know because I am waiting for Mike for over a year now and he has not yet gotten his interview date. I have focused my energy elsewhere and it has helped. I know it fells like you can almost reach out and touch something yet it is out of your reach. One day you are gonna look in his face and talk about this stressful time and have a great big laugh about it. Trust me.

Well, I sent a 'thank you' email to the landlord this morning...virtually begging him to let us have it! He sent me back an email thanking me for my email and said that his parents really wanted a couple without children...but to give him one more day...so hopefully by tomorrow...I should know!

Girl, I just pray that that is where G-d wants me...cause that would be PERFECT!!

Nakia, I will have to second everything that has been said to you. God has not taken you this far to leave you. I know it's hard to be so close and feel like it is out of your grasp. I will be praying for a speedy resolution for you. I know that the God that we serve is on the case and where better to put it, than in His hands.

Pay no attention to his mother, she will get over it. At least her son is going to be closer to her and she gets to welcome a wonderful daughter to the family. I will keep you prayed up love.

He is dealing with a lot and anticipating AirPak's call too...I just want to rescue my love you know. Ok I am done venting now. I am so glad I found this site. God bless all of you all. I appreciate you all as well. :dancing: Thanks, Nakia

Trust me.

Thank you so much Clair. I appreciate it more than you know. I will pray four interview date as well. :star:

Thanks JA. His mom lives in Jamaica..she just only has the visa to travel back and forth that is why she is so angry. She will be in a different country from her son. I appreciate your prayers...toss the monster-in-law in there too, lol. No, but seriously she needs it. I told her she can visit anytime and when Andrew gets his papers he can come back and visit, but she is not hearing it
