I love Jamaica Grande, because everything is right there. Ochi can be a little crazy at times and I'm sure ya'll already know. Hold on to your HANDBAGS...all they have to see is the WRISTBAND and you're an instant target.

All the times I've stayed in JA, I've never stayed at an all inclusive. I've stayed at Fisherman's Point, Silver Seas, and Rooms on the Beach and one other small, crappy little hotel (don't remember the name). We're always bringing Tony's kids, cousins, and nieces back to our hotel with us to swim in the pool, go to the beach, etc... That's why I'm wondering how they treat the locals. We'll probably stay at Rooms for the first 7 days and then a nice A.I. for the last 3 days. Do you know how much a day pass costs? Is it cheaper for kids?

I've never had any problems in Ochi (knock on wood ). I used to walk up to the store after dark by myself to get water or soda or snacks. A lot of flirting and comments, but no one was rude or anything.

I've experienced day passes costing between $60-$70 and it did not make a difference to them if it was kids or adults in our case.

XM Satellite Radio has a reggae station. It's ok, but it doesn't play anything hardcore (no Beenie Man, Movado, etc..). It's called "The Joint" - how appropriate is that?

I remember JAlove and Mrs. Scott, scrambling around once their SO's got here to get that Vaccination form filled out by MoBay Hope! I think you need a copy of it to file the AOS or to gain lawful employment! I just wantesd to get EVERY DYAM ting before em leave!!

P.S.- Good news they called Ken for KJ's birth Certificate-should be dropped off early next week....next question...Can we file for KJ's Passport at the NY Jamaican Consulate or only in JA.?

Sorry Gill I don't know about the passport. That is great news for KJ BC though Definitely have Ken get his vaccination records and an extra BC if he can. Very helpful for AOS and other things down the road.
