Yaads...i went for my 1st trimester sreening today..and the tech a tell mi di baby big fi the due date mi get..(i thought so too) but mi gi mi doc the benefit of the doubt..anyway...according to the weight of the baby i'm not 13wks i'm 14 wks 3 days...gimmi a due date fi sept 13 or so instead a sept 25 (mi did tink dat too late)..she couldn't tell me if it was a girl or boy cause 1.the doc wasn't there and 2. she seh it early whatever but what she did say was " i hope it's a boy, and a lady i knew who spit like you ended up having a boy" no know if dat mek no sense.....so mi go back in 3wks for 2nd trimester screening..so we'll see...

she couldn't tell you cause the dr wasn't there??? interesting....well at least the pushed up your due date!!! i was happy when the pushed mine up twice hopefully you will soon know if it is a girl or boy!

yeah cause of some rule that they are not my "provider" so they can't reveal results and such to me..cause i guess will malpratice and such..if a tech tells u it's a boy and yuh decide fi sue casue u dumb and buy everything blasted blue and when ur 3mths..i guess their insurance no cover such..mi no know mi ongly a mek up tings...(possibilities)

Isn't hard to tell first trimester? I found out second trimester. She told me it was a girl but she was not sure or couldn't guarantee. Then the doc came in and said she cant tell me that its 100 percent girl but it is. He said its so people cant come back and sue if they were wrong. Wow they moved up your date a whole week. Very nice. They only moved mine up 2 days .

I agree! well at least that is our plans when my SO gets here. He won't be able to work right away so he might as well be productive and take care of our baby, save some money on childcare. Someone has to keep working to pay the bills!

No, It's a ppo, i can go out of network...i think i have to pay more but I never really go to the doctor anyways, I got it cause it cosr bout the same as the HMO plan plus my daughter has to see a cardiologist at times.

ok...yeah they try to get u with those HMO's...only dif dem mek a few xtra $$ it's all a big scam this insurance industry and when yuh check it most a di doc dem a #######...i'm all for something to happen with the insurance industry..they are dictating when and how ppl get treatment...so uUNIVERSAL HEALTH mi support what u stand for

The one I am getting is very good I checked. The agent said I could go cheaper but it wasnt worth it. Thanks for looking out for me. My plan is very good. So far I have only paid 50 bucks for the little one. Good thing I already have family plan for dental . My plan stinks that I have to drive 45 mins to get to a doctor in net work. But once I have one in network they pay for every dime except the one time copay.

Something has to be done for sure...It's a shame soo many people go without cause it's too darn expensive.

sssooo true!!!! Jax i found out when i was looking for health insurance for mike and i(pre baby) i got what i thought was a GREAT health plan...hahaha....some parts of it were great but other parts were not so great....really look at the deductible....that will get you every time.....i am still paying off a time where i had to take mike to the ER and they had to run all these tests on him...only for them to come back and say it was Acid Reflux and our great insurance coverd 20 bucks....and then when i got preggo they didn't cover pregnancy at all because it was a "al a cart" option...you just have really do research on it and don't pick one just because it is cheap look at what it covers....

I'm thinking about taking Ken and my boys to Penn Relays this year! I haven't gone in mussi 12 years...is it still nice? Has anyone gone recently? My boys and I are into Track & Field...Ken mainly 'football'...but I think it's so nice to see the different Caribbean flags being waved...

I graduated from Penn in 98 so as an alum, I still go almost every year. Haven't been since 2005 but it's still alot of fun. Dave asked me the same thing cause he went to calabar high and they're always in it. I don't think he'll be here soon enough to go this year for my 10 year reunion but maybe we'll see ya there in 2009

Jax...i went to a fetal maternal specialists more advanced equipement..my pics were so great..she gave me like 10.. They also had the 3D pics done there..they told me it's done btwn 26 & 32 wks...it looks just like the baby was born..

i'm back, lawd what a two day, i took the baby to the doctor yesterday morning and she was SICK, took her to the daycare and then took her prescriptions to the pharmacy,got to work for about twenty minutes then I had to be taken to the emergency room where i needed to have a procedure done...please pray for me....because it is really like i can't catch a break...one of my friends told me a need a bath... told me i have crosses pon me...lol

What you up to girl? I just booked a trip to JA (Sunset Jamaica Grande) for June for some family and friends. They had a trip for 5 days for $686 per person, so Ray's going to stay there with me and doesn't even know it. I'm going to surprise him if I can keep my big mouth shut that long. lol

We booked a trip for November. We're thinking of staying a few days at Sunset JA Grande. Let me know how it is and if it's friendly for locals. You know how some places are!

From the infromation I've received already, it seems as if SJG's a good place for locals and tourists. I did hear about them being strict when it comes to people coming on the property (to the lobby area) that are not guests', but I'll have to see when I get there. I'll let you know.

Girl, they are a TOO damn strict with that. I had to cuss them out in June last year. A friend of mine was getting married and Sandals, so a lot of the guest stayed at Jamaica Grande (most of the guest were Jamaica). I had to tell off the security guard, because we walked into the town and they must of changed shift. He's going to quesition my cousins and I about how long we've been on the property. Now, we all had our wristband on. I asked him if he was damn blind and when he stood in front of us I lost it. I said, you would not treat anyone else like that so step the *&%^ off. He wanted to know when whe checked in and that he had not seen us on the property. Main reason I hate staying at resorts, I think they treat the JAMAICANS differently. At the Riu, I purchased day passes for my cousins and the guard wanted them to stay at the gate then walk up. Now, the walk from the gate to the front desk is a long A$$ walk. I said abosolutely NOT! I told them to call the front desk. Why the hell would I try to sneak people into the property, which was what the guard implied. I was so damn upset. When he checked his log, he had my cousin's names there.

I love Jamaica Grande, because everything is right there. Ochi can be a little crazy at times and I'm sure ya'll already know. Hold on to your HANDBAGS...all they have to see is the WRISTBAND and you're an instant target.

That's a shame... They reason don't have to be that strict. When I stayed at Sandcastles in February, Ray bite off our wristbands. I was like omg, what are you doing. He said we don't need people knowing where we stay. It was fine to do at Sandcastles, but probably not at any of the other resorts. I wonder what he'll do when we stay at SJG together in June...

i loved sandcastles when we stayed there!!! it is such a cute little hotel and was so close to everything that we didn't need to take a taxi we could just walk!! when i go to JA again i would stay there i really liked it better then the bigger resorts!!

I'm iffy about sandcastles, we stayed there, Pluses - they had a good resident rate and you get a whole apartment , plus u can do an all inclusive if u choose, food there was good, minuses - homegirl at the desk had an issue with mr jengles checking in, telling him ok, u bought her luggage up u can leave now, when she realized he was my husband my girl put us in an apartment with no hot water...and then didn't bother to tell us anything, where the pool was, the fact that breakfast was included in our package, just being a b!tch...of course being me, i complained we got moved and got upgraded on our plan...some locals actually live there, so i think they are a bit friendlier to locals than some places....only major drawback, pool could be a lot bigger and would prefer if the beach was actually on property instead of across the road...and it's not like mi like to swim but most time i like to pose.

Jamaica Grand - love it, of course mr jengles know most of the guys and they were happy to see him and his wife...one security guard did try to give him a hard time...but i just waved the band and kept walking
