I was on my lawyers site and he is listing the current trend in wait times for an embassy interview in the UK and it is showing 12 weeks. Is that right? Those of you who have interviewed in London...did you have to wait that long? Is there anyway to speed it up?

Interview July 25, 2008 - Approved!

Moving date September 10, 2008

Wedding October 18, 2008

Mailed AOS, EAD and AP November 6, 2008

AOS, EAD and AP delivered November 9, 2008

Check cashed November 19, 2008

Biometrics December 18, 2008

Green Card received March 31, 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!!!

Maybe for other visa types like CR-1 and IR-1, but VJ timelines are showing 2 months Embassy received from NVC to interview for K-1

7/11/08 - legal wedding

7/20/08 - AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago Lockbox

11/18/08 - AOS approved!!!

11/25/08 - Received welcome letter...and Green Card!!!

12/21/08 - ceremonial wedding

10/9/10 - Sent I-751 and started the fresh hell that is ROC

10/14/10 - NOA1 for ROC

10/29/10 - received appointment for Biometrics

11/22/10 - Biometrics appointment

Currently: Living blissfully with my Essex lad...

When my husband submitted his paperwork for the K1 he put a travel date and wedding date down. We (and another couple that did the same thing) got an interview before others who had submitted their paperwork at the same time (about one month earlier). Another couple didn't put down their wedding date, got a later interview date, called the embassy and explained they had a wedding date and for whatever reason didn't put it down and got their date moved up. I dont know if they are still that flexible, but I'd put down a wedding date or travel date.

Mailed AOS, EAD and AP Sept 11 '07

Recieved NOA1's for all Sept 23 or 24 '07

Bio appt. Oct. 24 '07

EAD/AP approved Nov 26 '07

Got the AP Dec. 3 '07

AOS interview Feb 7th (5 days after the 1 year anniversary of our K1 NOA1!

Stuck in FBI name checks...

Got the GC July '08

Hmm very interesting. Might have to try that when we get to that point.
