PA Gov Tom Ridge was just on MSNBC, said the game plan is to win as many primaries as possible through the end and hope they come within 1 percentage point of Obama in pledged delegates... and that they'd then hope the superdelegates come to her side and do the right thing and give her the nomination.

Statistically improbable and damn near impossible....just have a go with the calculator....give her a 60-40 win in all the rest of the Primaries.

...actually, I just did and here would be the final numbers...

Obama 1612

Clinton 1597

...and that's IF, if she won every single Primary by at least 20 points. Not gonna happen. Sorry Ed Rendell.

BTW his point was that closer to Obama is good enough, she doesn't need to exceed him. Just come close and then get the supers to swing your way.

LOL...well that would be democratic! Holy cow! I can't even imagine the fallout in the Party if such antics prevailed.

Even if she does get out with a small lead tonight, it is still a loss for her no matter what. Only a month ago, she was expected to take pretty much every large state by a large margin. As of the results right now, Obama is leading in Texas. That wasn't even considered possible a month ago. And he has lead in a wide variety of states in the past few weeks.

She didn't have the broad base of support that popular assumption would have us believe.

I wonder why the Reps have pretty much all settled on McCain, over all the other candidates. Were the others that bad or something...?

I don't think they have, they settle their delegates like the electoral collage. If they used the Democratic party way of doing it, the Republican race would be far from over.
