NVC received my DS-230 today and I'm praying that I won't get an RFE. My case has taken so long, and I miss my husband sooooo much. I cry everyday. I've stopped eating because I'm so sick to my stomach with homesickness. I just want to be home with John in our stupid little ghetto apartment in Orlando.

It seems like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, we will get a case complete in the next week or so, and then it seems to me like we should get an early May interview. It still seems really far away, but at least I could start counting down the days. An RFE right now would break my heart.

I want to go home :crying:

If something goes majorly wrong with the case, we have no more money to visit each other. I know that the next time I see John is when he comes here to go to the interview with me.

Please everyone who wants to, please pray for a speedy case complete for me.

Thank you so much

God Bless

Here is wishing a speeeedy completion at NVC!

As for an RFE, hopefully you won't get one! But if you do, don't worry about it too awfully much. Resumption of processing once they receive the documents (which I assume you would overnight as soon as you received the RFE) only takes a few days.

NVC mucked around with my DS-230 and I had 2 RFE's and it still only took 2 months to completion.

Now you probably won't get one! So not to worry and good luck

I guess there's not really a reason I think I'll get an RFE. Just the bad luck I've had with NVC. I really think it's all just luck. . . if you get a nice person they just gloss over your paper and approve you, and if you get a sticky person they will look until they find something wrong.

Many people have gotten false RFEs just because NVC lost some of their paperwork. Everything seems totally random and unfair. I don't understand how people are getting through NVC so much faster than me. I used James' shortcuts for everything. It's not my fault the IV bill took 2 months getting to us, or that NVC refused to acknowledge my DS3202 emails for almost a month. We only had one RFE and that was because the IVbill fee changed while it was in the mail. There was no way for us to know! It's all just luck.

I find this whole thing so unnerving and exhausting.

I just want it all to be over.

You're right, it's random and depends who is looking at it - I do believe the majority of people don't get RFE's though.

Oh and your signature says: NVC received DS-230 March 4/07 - which will be really depressing for people just sending in their DS-230 (the year) :hehe:
