...but she didn't disappear on the flight! I was all interested 'til I discovered she just vanished in the airport. Mind you, there still could be something afoot!

I found an update:

Investigation continuing into woman's disappearance at O'Hare

Tribune staff report

March 5, 2008

Chicago police continued their investigation Tuesday into the disappearance of Sumei Hu, the Chinese woman living in Sheboygan, Wis., who has been missing since flying into O'Hare International Airport more than a week ago.

Hu's family expressed frustration Tuesday after being told by police the airport surveillance video investigators had hoped to analyze had been taped over since Hu's disappearance last week.

Sharon Romenesko, Hu's sister-in-law, said the family was told Tuesday police had ruled out the possibility Hu had left on another flight, and the two pieces of luggage she brought with her to America had been picked up. Detectives were talking to the husband and other family members in Chicago on Tuesday night.

They taped over the evidence?!!

Her luggage was picked up? I wonder by whom?

Well in the movie I linked to the man's luggage was taken by the CIA *and* he didn't disappear from the flight he disappeared from the airport. They took him and held him at the airport for a day or so before flying him to some other country to torture him.

I"m not obviously saying this is what happened to her but who knows, you know? HOw do we know she didn't have something going on OR like the man in this movie had a relative who called her and that relative was a threat. I mean the tape was tampered with....

Not at Logan Airport. I normally meet my family at the baggage claim.

international baggage claim?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
