We are in Arizona so our list for him to visit (beginning this summer) is The Grand Canyon, Mexico, San Diego, and if he wants we will go to Los Angeles. He wants so much to see Las Vegas and being only few hours away it is definately one of the places we will go on a long weekend.

And he swore Lake Michigan was the ocean.

We went there in 06. My husband was really surprised by how much the Michigan coast looked like where he vacationed as a child in Denmark. There are just no lakes that reach that size he had ever seen. He actually tasted the water because he couldn't believe it was fresh and not salty.

He's already seen most of the big sites in the US and I've seen absolutely nothing :( It's not fair.

I go "Oooh!" a lot still whenever I think of some random not at all exciting place around town I want him to see, like...my elementary school playground or a cute store or something.

We've kind of got it in our head that the next little trip we get to take (we anticipate extreme poorness so no big trips for awhile) might be to Savannah, GA, just for a few days. Has anyone ever been? Think it'd be a good place to honeymoon?

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

I would love to take my wife to the GC, SD, LV and LA. Well, maybe not LA as much as the other places.

On a side note, our exchange student from Germany had a chance to go with a friend to LA over the Christmas holiday break and he blew it because he did not fill out the proper paperwork in time. He was actually crying that he could not go. The poor kid.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I'm partial to Siesta Key. But the goal is to see as many or few as she wants! I also like the idea of the panhandle and parks you've suggested and for my benefit too. We did a lot of traveling to Florida throughout my life but always ended up in Tampa Bay, Sarasota, or Ft. Myers due to family living there.

Oh, I (L) Siesta Key! And also Anna Maria Island. :luv: The Panhandle's nice, but SK and AMI are my preference.

Someone in the Canada Forum went there and said it was wonderful.

One of the first things we both want to do is go to New Orleans for a day. We've been talking about going to the Audubon Zoo before we were engaged. I want to start at the Aquarium of the Americas and IMAX, then take the riverboat up the Mississippi to the zoo. I also want to walk around the French Quarter with her, showing her all of my favorite shops and browsing the French Market.

Other than that, I also want to take her out to Alligator bayou in the canoe. I'm going to have to talk her into it, as a lot of people that aren't from here have reservations about gators. I also want to bring her out into the Gulf. I know she won't swim, but she loves boats and she could hang out topside while we're diving.

I miss Audobon Zoo. Honestly, I don't think any other zoo I've ever been to can top it for beauty and variety. My sister lives about 2 blocks from the zoo and when we go to NOLA for Christmas, that will be the first thing we visit.

So, he lived in Boston for 6 years and he's been to Seattle many times to visit me. But I suppose there is still so much to see around here for both of us. We'd like to make a trip to Yellowstone with my kids and of course New Orleans is top on our list so he can see where I grew up and meet the family that can't make the wedding.

Same here. The only place we went out of state was CedarPoint in Ohio. We haven't had time to go anywhere yet. He works way too much. He has mentioned going to NYC and Niagara Falls.

Our priorites were getting him settled and employed, so we haven't done a lot of in-U.S. travel yet. He's seen my hometown, where we live now, and a few places he's traveled with work.

Moody, I am sooooooo happy I now know the origin of your avatar. I was thinking you were a very masculine-looking woman until I saw Rob and Big.

If you go to Niagara, visit the Canadian side too. And go on the Maid of the Mist (Canadian side). It's an absolute MUST!!!!!
