Ok I am not good at naming titles but basically I can't wait to show my husband all I can of the US, but I don't know what to do first, etc.

Would you rather go somewhere you've already been with him/her or experience something entirely new? For example, I've been to Disney about 10 times in my life, but it's high on his list of things to see since he's heard about Mickey since he was a kiddo. :luv: It'd rock to go with him for a few days BUT I've never seen the Grand Canyon...or anything west of DC for that matter.

As far as America is concerned?

I wanted him to see NYC so we did go there already...

I want to go to the Grand Canyon (I haven't even been!)

Las Vegas

San Francisco

The Redwood Forest

Boston and surrounding areas...

Hawaii

New Mexico

New Orleans

hmmm plenty more to see and do!

I've never been to Disney and don't plan on ever going. Just not my cup of tea at all.

One of the first things we both want to do is go to New Orleans for a day. We've been talking about going to the Audubon Zoo before we were engaged. I want to start at the Aquarium of the Americas and IMAX, then take the riverboat up the Mississippi to the zoo. I also want to walk around the French Quarter with her, showing her all of my favorite shops and browsing the French Market.

Other than that, I also want to take her out to Alligator bayou in the canoe. I'm going to have to talk her into it, as a lot of people that aren't from here have reservations about gators. I also want to bring her out into the Gulf. I know she won't swim, but she loves boats and she could hang out topside while we're diving.

We haven't been anywhere - it's so depressing, well at least anywhere outside of the northeast.

I want to go to NYC with him, even for a weekend.

Would love to do the grand canyon, other NP's in the SW.

Vegas.

Yeah, basically what everyone else has said.

Settling in can take a better part of a year depending on where he/she is coming from. Where to take him? Where ever he is most curious about.

Yellowstone National Park

Sonora Desert, Arizona (she has family in Phoenix)

Key West and Everglades

Eastern Tennessee (We're planning to honeymoon there)

I recommend the panhandle. If you go to Panama City, they have great beaches, a wonderful state park (St. Andrews), and you can drive about 20 minutes to a BEAUTIFUL spring, Morrison Springs.
