why did CALAMITKA get away with it?...

Actually calamitka's husband get away with this. :) and also trailmix

After reading this thread I ask myself this question.

Possible answer would be:

the strongest answ.-we got not picky one officer

other

-hubby notarized this form (he used I-864)

- he aded employer letter, bank letter, copies of mutual funds, last stubs and so on,so on

I dunno but I guess we were lucky.

Calamitka, are you the USC or the foreign beneficiary?

Our case is still at USCIS, but I am reading NVC process now and have some concerns need your help.

What documents should my husband submit together with DS-230 and I-864 after IV / AOS fee paid? I though we should submit all the original documents ( birth/marriage/police/divorse )except Passport, but NVC Website says below:

Note: Do not send the documents in this section to the NVC. The applicant must submit them at the time of the applicant’s immigrant visa interview.

The applicant and each family member who will accompany the applicant to the United States will need to obtain the following original documents or certified copies of the documents listed in this section from an appropriate authority (the issuing entity).

Birth Certificate

Court and Prison Records

Deportation Documentation

Marriage Certificate

Marriage Termination Documentation

Military Records

Police Certificate(s)

Pls give a hand on this. Thanks!

Thanks for thinking of me so highly. I try to help if I can because finding this VJ forum is like blessing for me. I want give back what I have gained. Imagine I'm behind the ocean and some foreigners , somewhere decide about my hubby and my future, I really want to know what's going on. And of course my hubby incourages me to so.

Hi

You first have to determine what kind of embassy you going through, Appointment or Standard Processing.

On this threat all of us going through Appointment Processing so documents you mentioned the petitioner(or agent) have to send to NVC. Your description look like Standard P.

Hopefully someone will give you link where to check your embassy requirments.

Good luck

Thanks. Yes, I got the forms show the list of documents GuangZhou embassy need when do medicial & interview. So this must be a standard processing. My husband only need submit NVC some copies of the documents and the photos. In order to make sure nothing is wrong, maybe no shortcut on DS-230 form and the supporting documents. Just wait for the mail to come.

Thanks Coolgt, and congradulations on your case completed at NVC.

I did not find Bank statement is need base on the I-864 Insturction sheet. Anyway, we will prepare one.

SO, EMS LABEL IS NOT REQUIRED ?

For DS-230, when you get the MAIL from NVC, what documents are included ? I understand below:

1. Barcode cover sheet ( we can make one use James' shortcut )

2. Form DS-230 ( we can make one use James' short cut, do not sign on Part 2 )

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE ? How can we know what kind of supporting documents they want ? Is there any checklist for the documents they need and included in their MAIL ? Can you scan one for reference ?

Too many questions , thanks a lot for your help.

Oh and one thing the lady just said to write the case number on the form ( right hand upper corner).

should we write the case # at the right hand top cornner of DS230 ? and paste a photo on the left hand top cornner?, apart from the other two extra photos to be send along with DS230?

We sent the documents last Feb. 22 and it got to NVC 2 days after. My husband called this morning and the lady said to just send the corrected form I-864 no need to wait for the letter or the coversheet. It will be put aside of course until the new and corrected I-864 arrives. She said they are going through documents quickly (meaning the review and completion) in a matter of days. So it's good. My husband is now on his way to post office to send to NVC.

Awesome!

when i receive the ds230 (two)

one is right after i864 is complete they send a RFE stating that ds230 is missing. the real ds230 does come untill 1 week later. i did jame shortcut and send it in 1 day after it generate. form from the short cut and what u received is the same. barcode, letter and a letter from guangzhou stating what u need to prepare in a checklist form. i type it or take a picture and up it.

as for bank statement it does ask in i864 but you look closely where the part call your current asset. if you have 10k in the bank put that in that prove you have fancial stability and bank statement just request one from bank it really easy
