POE experience with family members

Not sure where to put this as none of the sections seem to really match so here it goes.

Has anyone entered as a family say at last 3-4 people and had one member denied? Could they relate their experience?

Would all the family members be US immigrants or just visiting? If visiting, you may want to try posting in the UK forum (if that is where the visitors are coming from). You may get more of a response there.

Actually all visitors. IE. one member of four has a pending visa and they get taken aside to the interrogation room to go through ties to home country etc. I'm just curious if the officers are curtious enough to take everyone together into the room or at least keep everyone updated.

I remember traveling once with my gf and her family and somehow she was the last one through security. Well they decided to do a full bag search and found nail varnish that she forgot was in her bag. They had her go to the rear of the line and buy a clear bag for it. Well we were on the other end wondering where she had gone. The Security people wouldnt say anything (and i think they were ticked that we were hanging around where they were screening) So we waited about 30min and were panicking a bit because we had no idea where she went and no one was giving any info. We thought she had been taken into a room somewhere.

My understanding is that the officers are quite hush about whats going when they want further answers. For instance I read one guy's story where his gf was flying to the UK and they did the room thing and I guess she had no proof of ties so they sent her back to the US. He was waiting in the airport, and had no clue what was going on, everyone he asked gave zero information so after a few hours he left and didn't find out until she called him from the US.
