march interviewee on the AR because of doc verification

:crying::crying::crying:

I just had my interview yesterday. After the interview, the consul told me they just have to do document verification first on the NSO and when they got feedback from nso, that's the time they will issue me a visa. I also went to window 37 handed me a mnl -IV under 221 g. no documents checked. It only states there wait until you here from us. Just what happened to edp33. There are lots who were approved but also lots of AR's because of document verification.

I was told to pay delbros but then, I showed them the receipt that I already pay delbros on feb 8. 3 weeks before the interview. I called delbros to verify my payment., and they got it. They told me They already forward it to NSO on the 11.

I called grace in USEM and told me not to worry. She checked their records and found out, that the verification process just started last week of February even though I paid on the 8. She said not to worry because I'm under their normal standard procedure, and they really requires document verification. After that, they will forward it to concul for the decision and authorize printing of the visa. I even received the pink slip and ask to pay delivery fee. The funny thing is, I thought I can have my visa within a week so I ask the consul during my interview for a visa pick up. He even approved it., but the Filipno guy in window 37 still says its much better to pay delivery fee for sure. So I paid.

I'm just so frustrated that because of this, verification, I'm in the AR and will delay the issuance of the visa. for several more weeks. I'm just being positive and thankful that the consul told me that NSO verification is all they need, other than that, my documents are complete. I just hate it because I thought I can be with my husband this month. Grace told me to call them up on the last week of march. She told me., sometines it takes longer sometimes its fast.,she estimated the time I can have ny visa, she told me It can take 2nd week of april :crying::crying:

God, i wish they'd do something about the document verification thingy...make sure that the process will not delay things for us...they just do not know what stress they are putting us into...

Makes me miss my wife all the more...

I have a late registered BC as well. I paid the doc verification once I got my schedule on the US embassy website and that was 2 months before my interview date. I guess that was enough for them to get my doc verification done and didn't go through AR.

I hate to be the bearer of possibly bad news, but my fiance and I are still in AR after getting this same information as well. Our interview was Jan 7th and we have yet to receive a Visa. In the end I have learned that Grace and others at the Embassy really can not estimate anything and I will never again plan my life around the information they give.

I really really hope you have a better experience than ours and receive your Visa as soon as possible.

Please take care!

I had a correction on my birth certificate and it could be the possible reason. I have an annotation remarks regarding my name. A single letter only. And also, maybe they really wanna make sure our marriage is genuine.

Out of curiosity, I called up NSO legal department ask ask basically how long is the verification? The guy told me that a query from US Embassy is usually marriage contract and cenomar. It could take a month depending on the case. But definitely, they could not give information because its really confidential. So its just a waste of time. Lets keep praying, that's the only way. AS what mari and michelle said, lets look at the brighter side, atleast we passed the interview and did not get a denial. Let's think that this is really their standard procedure to make sure all of the documents are true. Once they get feedback from NSO, they will soon issue our visa!!!!

Hey Everyone,

So my fiancee had her interview yesterday and it looks like she is on AR but she really wasn't told much about what was going on. When she looked at her paper there is a check next to employment-based petitions and it says wait to hear from us. Does anyone know what this is relating to and how I can find out? Is there a specific number I should call at the embassy or is this just a standard thing. She paid the delbros 2 weeks ago and maybe they haven't gotten to it yet. If anyone has any idea what this means, please let us know. I'm getting worried about it now. Congrats to all who were approved so far.

Frank and Delia
