Hi everyone,

I just thought you might all like to know that there was absolutely no problem or me when I landed in Orlando on Friday evening.

I got to immigration, and all the guy asked me was:

"What's the purpose of your visit?" To which I replied, "Vacation.

He then asked how long I was staying - I told him 9 days and that was it. No other questions, he stamped my passport, smiled and wished me a good trip.

I'd gone mad too trying to get copies of all the paperwork I thought I might need - You can bet if I hadn't had it with me, i'd have needed it.

So...i'm sitting here right now waiting for Toby to come home from work, we have already had the best weekend. We're picking out my engagement ring, so i'll be flying home next week with a shiny new ring on my finger.

I have never felt as happy and relaxed as i do when i'm here with him. I hope VSC keeps speeding through their petitions, and then I can get my butt over here and do the whole 'happily ever after' thing.

Anyway - for those of you who are worried about visiting fiance(e)'s, i'd just advice be honest, but don't give them any information they don't need and it will all go smoothly.

I'll check in tomorrow adn see how much the timelines have dropped......

Glad to hear everything went well.

I went to see my fiance for a week. at the beginning of February and like Saffyre, I had absolutely no problems at immigration. I have to admit though, I was quite nervous about being turned away so I took all sorts of documents with me proving my ties to Bermuda.

In every difficulty lies an island of opportunity.

Have fun both visiting and picking out your ring. Kris and I have already picked out our rings and depending on finances we hope to get mine soon. We found a great jeweler in Ireland that made exactly what we wanted.
