Congratulations! From the interview date to oath ceremony it took about 2 months so your husband may be a citizen by September if they keep the same timeline as mine. The officers at the Cleveland office seem to be nice (At least the one that took care of me was very nice). Good luck with the interview.

From what I understand from other posts, that's a sign that I should get an interview letter in a week or so, I'm hoping...

I'll keep you posted.

Good luck!! Not a lot of notice huh?!

No, but I'd rather get quick interview and get it over with fast. At this speed, I might even still be able to vote in November...

I have most of the paperwork I need ready and called the IRS yesterday to get a transcript of my income tax returns for the past five years (just in case).

BTW, the USCIS letter mentions a form 1722, which the IRS states they have not used in years and that the transcripts are all they have now.

Gotta love government efficiency when it comes to updating their documents... ;-)

The IRS rep said she'd mail the transcripts out yesterday, so hopefully they will to where I have them for the interview. Someone else said it took three weeks to get theirs (ugh!!). I heard that if you have an emergency, you can have them faxed the same day too, so worst case I'll do that...

Per the IRS letter, I shouldn't even need it, but I'm going to take everything that anyone was ever asked for (as posted in the forums I read), just in case. Not sure I'll be able to get a birth certificate copy in time, so hopefully I won't need that...

We got our tax transcript in a week when I ordered them for the application. I'm lazy this time and we are just bringing the copies of our tax returns (like it states you can also bring). I think my husband would have freaked if his interview was the first week of June. Not a lot of time to study (he just started studying last week), and his parents are in town from Scotland and my cousin's wedding is tomorrow etc etc., not a good time this month!

I still have to study too. I've been in the U.S. since 1991, and took a government class in high school in 1992, so I know the answers to most questions and I only have a few of the tougher ones to actually study (i.e. what are the names of the original 13 colonies).

Good luck to your husband on his interview!

Tammi, your husband got his interview notice already? And you filed in March 2008? We also filed in March 2008, but March 31, 2008 if that still counts for March. But we did get our green cards, came in April 22, 2008 to be precise. But haven't touched the N-400 since 04/05/2008 and we had to send that to Nebraska, which service center are you with?
