I am sooo confused...It has been about a week and a half since we got the email for hubby to send in his passport visa Aramex and that his visa was ready to be issued. I sent an email last Thursday to check on the status and received this email in return...

"The case has been submitted to the State Department for further processing and we must wait until they provide authorization before a visa can be issued. Unfortunately, until we receive the proper authorization to proceed with issuance there is nothing that either you or we here at the Embassy can do except to continue to follow up and check the status. We follow up on these cases regularly.

We will send your husband's passport back by Aramex and we will let him know when we receive authorization"

What in the world is going on here??? I am so freaking confused...is it possible that this person made a mistake when checking our case or is it actually been sent to DOS yet again....????

Please help guys...i want to cry

If it is a security check, the best anybody can say is that the visa is likely to be issued if there are no problems with the security check. No visa is "SURE" until it's in the passport and the passport is in the applicant's hand. No entry to the US is assured until the applicant has cleard Customs and Immigration at the POE.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
