I am sooo confused...It has been about a week and a half since we got the email for Moe to send in his passport visa Aramex and that his visa was ready to be issued. I sent an email last Thursday to check on the status and received this email in return...

"The case has been submitted to the State Department for further processing and we must wait until they provide authorization before a visa can be issued. Unfortunately, until we receive the proper authorization to proceed with issuance there is nothing that either you or we here at the Embassy can do except to continue to follow up and check the status. We follow up on these cases regularly.

We will send your husband's passport back by Aramex and we will let him know when we receive authorization"

What in the world is going on here??? I am so freaking confused...is it possible that this person made a mistake when checking our case or is it actually been sent to DOS yet again....????

Please help guys...i want to cry

Awwwww sweetie don't cry. It's not unusual at all to have these delays for additional security checks. It's happened to several members here, and they came through successfully.

Just hang in there -- it may take a little longer than you had hoped, but insha'allah everything will be fine.

Sending you lots of prayers and MENA MOJO and good vibes !

As JJ and WOM stated, it is probably just another round of checks and a short delay. Stay optimistic !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

This is what happend to my husband, they told him to send in his passport and then sent it back with nothing stamped just in pencil "back". I was freaking out and then we got papers saying he had an interivew for CR-1. Well he went to the interview and then he was issued a CR-1 visa. I am not sure what is going on but sometimes things come up and it is very frustrating when you can't get a clear answer but keep the faith and God will see you through this. You are almost done.

Have to agree with the others sounds like another name check. Try and stay positive and hopefully it will be finished soon.

Sorry, but this is the first chance i have had to get on...I got the update that they have sent back the passport (no visa stamp) until the AP is over again....I just really feel so hopeless now--like how do these people tell us--YOU HAVE BEEN GRANTED THE VISA...and then they take it away. I just feel so alone and helpless and i just can't stop crying...I think this is never going to end...It has been 15 months since I seen my hubby and I feel like today my heart has been broken...usually i can shake it and get over it...even all of the nerve pills, aspirin, and everything hasn't shaken it today....My heart just feel completely empty....thankyou all for your responses to me....i appreciate you all so much and wish u the best

Dear, sometimes you have to stop and take care of yourself. That numb feeling is a bad sign. Go home, lay on the couch, have a good cry and some wine, sleep long and hard. Get on the phone and make arrangements to see your hubby. 15 months is toooooooooooooooo long! to be seperate!
