Is it okay to add SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFIT and W2 so that the total earnings will reach the 125% cut off? My interview will be on Thursday, and i need to know if i should present the 2007 tax with social benefit statement.....because his W2 only shows 15,000 and if the SS Benefit will be added it will sum up to 26,000. :help:

Yes, your Social Security benefits count toward your total income. The SSI will be reflected on your tax transcripts. You are not required to present the 2007 tax information yet, but if the 2007 income helps your case then use it.

I am not 100% sure, but think the 2007 income will be required at interviews around April 15.

The SS Benefit counts as the sponsor's income and like what edp333 said, appears on the tax return. If your fiance has filed his 2007 ITR and has a copy, it will be useful on your interview, otherwise, 2006 ITR is the latest year. They will know if your fiance meets the 125% Poverty Level just by looking at the I-134 and ITR. Having W2s and SS benefit statements on hand will come handy in case they'll ask you for it during your interview. And if you have it, why not include it, right?

Actually, 2005 and 2006 are much better but, in his affidavit of support , he is stating the income for 2007 ( he got it already) so, all i should do is to present 2007 if asked for proofs. Thank you edp333 for the help. It really ease my worries.:thumbs::thumbs:

Look here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1327.html and you will have an idea about Poverty Guidelines. That is actually for I-864 (Affidavit of Support for adjusting status) but it's almost/pretty close to the guidelines for I-134.
