People have probably seen this on the State Department web site, but I hadn't before and so I thought

that i would post it for those of us waiting for our visas in Cairo. Hope I have it in the right forum...

Cairo

Typical Wait Time (Calendar Days*) for a Nonimmigrant Visa Interview Appointment

Visitors Visas: 7 Days

Student/Exchange Visitors Visas *** (Excludes: A, G, K, and V): 1 Day

All Other Nonimmigrant Visas: 7 Days

Typical Wait Time (Workdays**) for a Nonimmigrant Visa To Be Processed****: 2 Days

*Calendar days refer to every day of the week, including days when embassies are closed (such as weekends and holidays).

**Work days refer only to days when the embassy is open and does not include weekends and holidays.

*** The All Other Nonimmigrant Visa wait time DOES NOT include K or V visa applications, which are processed similar to immigrant visas. A and G applications are excluded from these wait times, as they are processed separately.

****IMPORTANT NOTE: Processing wait time DOES NOT include the time required for additional special clearance or administrative processing. These procedures require additional time. Most special clearances are resolved within 30 days of application. When additional administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. Processing wait time also does not include the time required to return the passport to applicants, by either courier services or the local mail system.

good morning

i hope everything is going ok with ya and inshaallah you will hear good news soon about the visa

here what the clean version of hell say about when will you get the visa ?

“When Will I Get My Immigrant Visa?”

This is the most frequent question we get. Our best answer is that “You cannot be sure of when you will get your immigrant visa until it is in your hands.” Acquiring an immigrant visa is a lengthy, complicated process.

While some applicants may have an immigrant visa one week after their visa interview, others may never get an immigrant visa because they are ineligible under the law. Procedures and documentary requirements also change, and you may be asked several times to provide additional documents. We are committed to processing all immigrant visa applications as expeditiously as possible, given our resources and all relevant laws and regulations. We are also committed to giving applicants who contact us as precise an explanation as possible as to the status of their cases. In some cases, an applicant may be refused. If an applicant is refused and feels that he/she did not provide all relevant information during the interview, the applicant may submit that information and request reconsideration. We may then review that information and reconsider the decision. A request for reconsideration, however, does not guarantee further review.

my best wishes for ya

have a nice blessed day

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

"Most special clearances are resolved within 30 days of application."

Uh Huh. I wonder what they classify as 'special' ?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
