Hey, that's great. But you know what? This is a message board design in-part for supporting others, which can take the role of helping people when they're depressed or down on their luck, too. Should it be a "personal blog" or something similar? No, probably not. However, there's nothing wrong with assisting another person in their time of need.

Besides... no one says you need to do it or even read those threads. So what's the problem? ;)

For a lot of folks, they share their joys and woes because they consider they have friends here. Whole lot easier to make one general post to share a situation then try to track down each one individually. This forum is designed to support families during a very emotionally challenging period. It is difficult to remain monotone when concerns run high. Further, sharing personal stories helps to pass the time and humanize this sometimes long and bumpy ride. Nothing wrong with that.

I think our personal lives are a part of being a member of Visajourney...since we all are here due to falling in love with someone from another country and having to get together through the visa process. Whether someone chooses not to share much personal info, they can't deny that they are here for very personal reasons. It's not a game forum or something like that.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Natural growth? Ok, but again, how is that relevant to your visa process?

You do remember saying you only share information that has to do with the visa process, don't you?

I will share other information i guess if i am in the mood to and i have interest in posting here.

You should be grateful that you have a good personal support system. I have been a member here for over 4 years and I have shared some happy and yes some sad times on here. What we all have in common on here is the fact that we married a foreign spouse and therefore can relate to eaachother. This site was a god send went I first joined and helped me alot in the early days and now I am settled and very happy   but not for one minute would I consider a thread a "pity thread". If you feel a thread is going to be like this, then simply don't read it!  I would not disclose some personal information , but that is my choice and I won't knock anyone who does. Everyone has different ways of reaching out and rem

ember

if you think it is a "pity thread" then maybe that person NEEDS help and support.

You have a beautiful baby (F)

If you are in the mood to. Ok.

Yeah, most posts that are made by you always reference how "large" your ####### is, well in your mind anyway. So that needs to be a part of what you post on your visa journey?

October 31, 2016 I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1
