I think it's good to keep in mind that not all music has to be deep and meaningful. I can't stand electronic music, but I do like hip hop. Sometimes you just want to have fun and let loose. I think everyone has their guilty pleasure music.

so you're saying electronica is a guilty pleasure? with no meaning? have you ever listened to ambient or organic house? there's electronica as deep and meaningful as classical music.. but have to say, the vengaboys or any commercial stuff definitely don't fall into that category

i'm a fan of hip hop, but old skool hardcore rap, like cypress hill.. not wannabe stuff like today's, although when ure @ the club, with a few 'dranks' as the song says lol, it's fun to dance to

Just not my cup of tea. Maybe it is meaningful, but not to me...I don't get it. I listen to classical music - I especially enjoy choral music and opera, but my husband doesn't get it at all. I'm not offended by that - music is obviously a personal thing and everyone has different tastes. That's all I really was saying...nothing groundbreaking.

Yes, I love classical music also.. and I am on the same wave spectrum as you as to Choral music. I love the Masses, Requims and stuff like that. I am not too much into opera.

The one song I hate with a passion and if I hear it on the Radio and I turn it off right away is this song..

AMERICAN PIE by Don McCleen. the true story of I think Buddy Holly.

I think the song itself is fine, but the problem is that it's just too damn long! I like Weird Al's parody of it a lot better, but that could just be because I'm a real Star Wars geek (and proud of it!), so I think it's funny.

If you haven't seen Weird Al's parody of "American Pie," it's called "The Saga Begins" and it's his off-the-wall take on Star Wars: Episode One to the tune of "American Pie." Here it is...

Wow--too many to list. One of my projects for this year is to create a two-CD set of unlistenable 80s hits.

The one that came to mind just now--probably because I heard it recently--is Say You Will by Foreigner. I'd rather chew tin foil than listen to that cheezy audio torture.

Anything Alicia Keys sings.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks

It's a 1970's tune that got way too much airplay. Whenever I hear it, it reminds me of fingernails across a blackboard.

I don't much care for the "Areeba, Areeba" Mexican acordian music the mojados in Houston love to blare out their windows at several hundred decibles. Ditto with ©rap music. More fingernails across the chalkboard.

Just because people like their music doesn't mean everyone else does. One person's music is another's noise pollution. Be considerate!

"Mojados," that's not very nice.I know plenty of citizens who love Rancheros and Corridos.I can't stand it,but to each his own.

March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !

I like that tune -- I think it has a helluva hook. But then again I'm into Jamaican music, and his roots come through in the song -- at least that's why it caught my ear.
