if anyone on this board must go to Birmingham Alabama to do Biometrics be fore warned. They are looking for anything to pick a fight, or an argument with you. The last time I remember being treated so rudely was in the Atlanta airport many years ago, and they were just itching to be provoked. You heard it here first. Beware, have all documents (including wedding certificate), don't speak unless spoken to. Make sure to use the restroom before you get there, because they might assume you are in there using a cell phone, or worse, washing your hands!!!! YIKES!!

Hopefully everything went smooth. You just never know...

Question for anyone. I read on this board that my wife's A NUMBER could be found on her visa she was given at the American Consulate. I was under the assumption that the number was there, and in red numbers. I used this number on every document that asked for it during the initial package assembly, so today when I arrived at Biometrics I was shocked when the man there said that our A number was wrong, and then proceeded to give us one that he had taken off our file from the computer record. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Sorry to hear you had such an unpleasant experience in Bham with your biometrics. We had to go there twice and didn't have any problems. The first time they let me stay inside with hubby. The second time, however, they did not but they were quite kind about it. I guess it depends on who is working the front desk.

A note about A numbers, the other posters are correct that you can find it on the receipt and other correspondence from USCIS but hubby's was also put on the back of his I-94 card to at the POE. Hope this helps.
