The Simpsons vs. Family Guy

Oh, well, now, if we're mentioning cartoons done by neither Seth MacFarlane or Matt Groening, then I have to give mad, mad props to Venture Bros. Probably the cleverest/funniest cartoon I've seen. Adult Swim has some fantastic programmes - I also love Robot Chicken and Harvey Birdman.

I don't really make a distinction between cartoons/anime and live action, though - all that matters to me is if it's entertaining.

Wasn't Sealab 2021 on Adult Swim too? If so, yes, they have fantastic programs.

Never too much of a fan of either Simpsons or Family Guy, but if I had to chose, early-mid series simpsons.

But Futurama is greater than both.

It was indeed! I haven't seen Sealab 2021, though.

And I'm glad someone agrees with me :D

It's very adult. And pretty crude, but really funny.

I tried to find clips on youtube, but there doesn't seem to be any (or it tells me they are not available in my country)

This is the only one I could find.

Yeah, Futurama is great. Definitely my favourite. I can't wait for the next DVD movie (due out in June or July)

Oh absolutely true! Al those episodes are indelible in my memories. Just a second or so of beginning one and I can start reciting the lines!

Neither. Give me some Bugs Bunny & Elmer Fudd (or even better Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck) or Tom & Jerry.

I like them too.I think I have some of those episodes memorized.I 'll never forget the day I was at work in the geriatric ward and one of the patients kept singing this song Tom and his buddies were playing at their house party. Now that was funny.

Sealab! I love Sealab.

I had friends in college whose 'song' was the Sealab theme.

We have the first two sets on DVD. Didn't bother getting the rest though. It wasn't quite the same after the guy who played Captain Murphy died.

A month ago I would have said FG but they recently aired an episode where they humiliated New Yorkers and being a proud New Yorker, I would now say South Park.

Don't pay attention to that,we're all crazy in Rhode Island anyway.

BTW: I love New York (L)

They humilated the south too, but oh well. The Simpsons have a bigger following (for now) because they have been around longer.

South Park all the way! I never watch any of the others. Don't have time. Simpson's was ok in the beginning. But quit watching it many years ago.

South Park #1

I could never get into that.I did like Bender though. How can a robot be an alcoholic ?

Alcohol is his fuel.

I have to rank those 3 as:

1. Futurama

2. Family Guy

3. Simpsons (would be higher if they would have ended it 5 years ago)

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell
