one of my favourite simple lunches is tomato cheese soup....

one can of condensed tomato soup, one can of milk, 1 cup of grated cheese, and basil and oregano to taste.. throw that all in a pot and heat until cheese is melted..

Omg, Little Caesar's hot n ready pizzas used to be SO good. It's always been our pizza place since I was a wee spry (the Crazybread, seriously? MANNA) but now it's just been getting consistently worse and worse for like a year I refuse to let it go :crying:

My very fast lunches and dinners lately have been turkey sandwiches, tuna salad sandwiches, Lloyd's bbq sandwiches, I don't like ham sandwiches, and pb & j or pb & banana sandwiches. And if you want more than a sandwich have a yogurt or toss a handful of frozen veggies in microwave for a couple minutes.

You know what you do when you get utterly sick of eating sandwiches?

You start toasting the bread. Then you got NEW KIND OF SANDWICH :o:O:O

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

"Hot & Ready" quality here has gone down dramatically too, but still an inexpensive quick solution. But nothing compared to the way it was back in the late 70s up to, really, maybe five to ten years ago.

3) Heat sauce over medium low heat, stirring occasionally until hot.

4) Drain pasta, put back in pan, pour sauce over penne and toss together. Serve immediately.

If you can find in your local grocery store canned tomatoes with ocra and corn, get a can. Then get some white rice, and pour the can of tomatoes etc in when the rice is about cooked, season spicy or savoury to your taste and enjoy. Its really quite yummy  You can also add a can of kidney beans for some protien if you like. Its an entire meal in one pot if you add the beans :D

Pasta is always quick and yummy. I like tortellinis best. set a pot with plenty of water, a few spoons of oil, salt and garlic. Boil them for 10 min, while you heat up the sauce. for the sauce. I start by stir frying small pieces of meat cut square, with olive oil, salt and pepper in a big cooking pan; then add the sauce, stir, and cook for a few minutes.

Hubby makes a stir fried salmon filet...yum! heat up a cooking pan with almond oil (or just regular oil), doesn't haver to be oily just enough drops to avoid the fish from sticking to the pan. Sparragus make an excellent side dish for this, steamed or cooked in a separate pan with a bit of butter

Pork chops cook fast too, (aprox 10 min each side), and you can accompany them with garlic mashed potatoes. :)

Saludos,

Caro

GHOULASH aka 'American Chop Suey'

1 lb ground beef

1 can diced tomatoes

1 can sliced mushrooms

1 chopped onion

1 can tomato soup (or two ...depending on how 'soupy' you like it)

diced green peppers

a couple of tablespoons ketchup

elbow or rotini (twirly) pasta

Brown beef, onions, peppers and mushrooms. drain. Add tomatoes, soup, ketchup. Season to taste ( I use black pepper and Mrs. Dash). Simmer 20 minutes. I usually serve with canned corn and dinner rolls or just plain bread and butter. Quick and easy and it's a family favourite. (even my picky children like it...so I sneak whole wheat pasta in to be healthier)
