04/03/06: AOS Interview notice...05/11/06

05/11/06: AOS Interview....approved, pending FBI name check

05/12/06: I-130 approved

05/18/06: NOA 2 / I-130 approval

08/15/06: Email: 'Welcome to America' letter mailed (Day 151)!!!!

08/17/06: Email: I-485 approved & GC ordered

08/19/06: 'Welcome to America' letter rec'd

08/22/06: Email: Notice of approval mailed

--April 5, 2006 Medical examination (I 693)+ Vaccination supplement form completed (chicago)

--April, 18,2006 AOS Package(I 130,I 485, I765)+supporting documents sent (chicago Lock Box)(DAY 1)

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

--June 29 ,2009 10 year green card with date of Perm resident June 2008 received (Day almost 680 since interview )

--July 2011 Citizenship Interview :

-- Nov 2011 Oath Ceremony -US Citizen

11.16.05 - rec'd NOAs

12.27.05 - rec'd an appointment for AOS biometrics

01.02.06 - rec'd an appointment for biometrics

01.04.06 - completed biometrics & fingerprints for both AOS and EAD

01.10.06 - *touch*

01.12.06 - ead approved!!!

01.17.06 - ead card rec'd

01.18.06 - applied for ssn

01.27.06 - rec'd ssn

03.24.06 - rec'd interview date for May 02!!

05.02.06 - AOS APPROVED!!!

05-06.06 - rec'd Welcome Letter

05-12-06 - GREENCARD rec'd.

May 18, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, Welcome Notice Sent! Finally!!!
April 22, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, GC has been ordered
April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

It's the very least I can do for all the assistance I've received here to give a bit back. :) And continue to learn from everyone else, and pass along what I have picked up to help relieve stress and whatnot!

ChanelKitten: You've had such a quick, smooth ride so far I can't imagine your case being all that different. Buffalo seems like an efficient office from all the people posting their experiences from there. You have my best wishes, and if you have any questions, I'm always available. We residents of Canuckistan have nothing to fear. ;)

Ans: Is what copyrighted? My post? Definitely isn't, nope. :) Whatever information you need from it, you're surely welcome to take. I don't think there's anything confidential in there, unless being asked 'have you ever voted in the US?' is a great big secret! ^^;

Ladyaunt: Try not to be too nervous. It's really not as bad as it may appear to be! I found that my expectations were utterly at odds with what happened -- I had my husband answering fairly obscure questions 'just in case'. It was a total anti-climax, and as long as you are familiar with what's in your package (and you're in a fairly normal relationship, I guess!) it shouldn't be a big surprise. :) Then again, ours was a pretty vanilla case so I guess that played out in it.

Anutka: Aww, you're too kind! So happy that you have your biometrics out of the way and here's to hoping that your EAD will be there soon so you can begin your future! :D Your support and kind words have been a real comfort. :)

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)

It was too long! ;) No, the main reason is because I was just so tired, and I couldn't find the concentration at work. It was hard enough to read through a compilation of baby names and try to keep that straight (and my job's as an editing intern! Accuracy is everything!).

I just received our AOS Interview Notice today for June 28, also in Chicago. Your post is definitely very timely and helpful for our preparation.

I-129F(K-1)

9/7/04: Engaged

10/25/04: Sent I-129F original submission (Nebraska SC)

8/1/05: K-1 visa approved!

12/3/05: My honey and I entered through Chicago O'Hare together. She is finally home with me!

I-485 AOS

12/21/05: Got married

12/22/05: Applied for SSN, had to do manual verification, 6-8 wks:(; completed I-693 vaccination supplement w/ local civial surgeon

1/09/06: Got SSN card in mail, this is fast!

1/20/06: Sent AOS, EAD and AP package to Chicago Lockbox

1/31/06: Received NOA1's for AOS, EAD & AP

2/3/06: Biometric appt letter arrived today (wow! that's fast!), scheduled for Wed. 2/22/06

2/22/06: Biometric done, but found out we had the wrong DOB filled out on her I-485, cannot be corrected at the time because her case isn't in the "system" yet. This is stressful.

2/25/06: I-485 touched

3/6/06: Infopass Appt in downtown Chicago to resolve the DOB issue. Had to send a letter to the processing center.

3/24/06: AP approved and sent in mail!

3/27/06: EAD touched.

3/28/06: EAD approved online

3/29/06: AP received in mail

4/29/06: AOS NOA2 received -- interview date June 28 2006. Online status shows still in process.

6/28/06: AOS INTERVIEW in downtown Chicago Sucess! Passport got stamped and Green Card is on its way!

7/8/06: Green Card arrived

I-751 Remove Condition

4/28/08: Sent I-751 package to NSC

4/30/08: NOA1 date

5/12/08: 1st NOA for biometric appt on 5/28/08

5/16/08: Another NOA for biometric appt on 6/5/08, we are confused

5/02/08 Biometrics scheduled

5/02/08 Biometrics completed in 10 mins!

Woo Hoo....8/28/08 Recieved 10yr Greencard in mail, no approved email!! We are done!!!
