Fee question. I understand the original fee for the I-130 application is $ 355.00.

Then mine went into the K-3 route, fee waived. Now with all the I-129F problems

I want to change to the IR-1/CR-1 route, will I have to pay an additional fee?

Don't want to bore you stating how much the lawyer wants, just want info if

indeed there is a new fee and would like to know, how much. Thanks all.

You don't need to pay any fee to USCIS, since you paid $355.00. When your approved petition will go to NVC, you will need to pay them $70 (AOS Fee) and $400.00 (IV Fee).

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

You need to call the USCIS to find out if they will process your I-129F. There are many members here on VJ whose I-129F have been discarded and the USCIS will only process their I-130 forms for CR1 visas instead of K3. Verify this with them before your lawyer gets more money out of you to "process" something that has already been processed by the USCIS themselves.

This is what I know about my I-130. Not from my lawyer but from the USCIS website : "On September 6, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN." Then he filed for the I-129F. But I don't know if he received DS-3032, he doesn't tell me. So it stopped from there. And I have not called

NVC yet, I am 14hours ahead of eastcoast time, was thinking of calling later to catch the timeframe that was recommended.
