hello, does anyone have recommendations about what kind of medical insurance can be purchased say for a month or so, for my fiancee once he arrives in the US and until I get married to him. Thinking a good insurance that covers all with a copay would be best. Say for a month or so until I marry him and after that I can include him as my spouse, in my medical insurance offered by my employer.

thanks.

Mary

You might want to talk with your plan coordinator. Many of them will let you include a "significant other."

Some recognizes domestic partner. Only your insurance provider can help!

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

In a nutshell, the premiums on a "good" temporary health plan with co-pays that covers all would be astronomical.

Don't forget there is always the Casino Health Plan.. No premiums and no deductible. You simply role the dice and hope your numer does not come up.

YMMV
