Oh my goodness, October??? :o Hope you at least have some visits planned. :)

Big congratulations to those of you united again! It's been a pleasure watching you folks go through the process!

Unfortunately no; need to save vacation time as well as money for when he's here and for the wedding. We've done six months apart before though so I'm hoping time goes by just as fast.

Excited to see that you're file is being touched!! I hope that you don't have to wait too much longer! :)

I hope the time flies for you! That is such a long flight, isn't it?

Thanks so much. Seems VSC is working at a snails pace these days. :( Hope it's just us here at VJ and that they're really cranking out the approvals! A girl can dream, can't she?

Congratulations Kelly! Rina, I am pleased to see you finally have an interview date. :D

Love seeing all those red approvals!

Damian's finally home with me!!

I am so envious!! Congrats on the homecoming! Liam is being the responsible one and wants to save up money before coming over. So here I am twiddling my thumbs again until Octoberish..... To keep myself busy I've started to research the AOS as well as how to pay taxes next year.

I know all about being the responsible one. :( It's such a tough decision to make. I hope the time passes really swiftly for you. I'm hoping I can be in the US by October, too, but November is looking more likely; an extra $1800 can't really be sniffed at.

Exactly. I know I'll be grateful for the extra savings considering that his EAD might take a bit to come in. He technically has until November to enter the US but I'm begging for October. In the meantime I'm exercising my cheapness and focusing on other things to keep me busy. At least the next time we see each other it'll be permanent - that gives some comfort.

Kim & Russ - the flight is long! But isn't it even further for you since you've got to go from MA?? I just hate that you lose two days on the way there..

Yes. :( I've flown many times to both AUS and NZ to see him. But I think the last flight over was probably the worse... $2,600 r/t... 6 hours from BOS to LAX... 8 hour layover... 13 hours from LAX to AUK and then a 4 hour drive to his place on the bay of plenty! How I envy the Canadian couples!

WOW! That 8 hour layover at LAX sounds painful - I will stop complaining about connections from this point forward! :) I usually find pretty good deals on Orbitz or Travelocity - my last flight was a steal and I was shocked I found it for only $1350 total.

 I envy Canadian couples as well.

 You can still complain!

I've had flights for just over $1,000 too (priceline - name your own - is my best friend for most trips/hotels) but it's the time of year that gets ya! We flew at the end of January this time and the trip was a gift from my mom so she just booked it through an agent. Although, I found nothing better online when I looked.

Ohhhh, to just cross the border in a car to see him..... *sigh* Oh well, at least we'll have glorious vacations!!!

CONGRATS on being together finally Kelly & Damian :thumbs::thumbs: .... and Rina & Randy, I am sooo happy for you :dance::dance: .. Now if only Mounia would get that NOA2 already :( ...

Has anybody heard anything from Sally? how was her CT scan?

An update on our visa... I am at lost now what is going on.. I called the embassy 2x and I was told to just wait coz "Your documents are still with the officer. We don't know if we will be asking additional documents from you so just wait, ok. Bye!"

The lady i talked too was soft spoken but I couldn't help but cry after that call. Some on the Philippine forum has been waiting for weeks and months for their visa because of document verification. My document verification results was with USEM already since interview date. So the it is only the additional review that is holding our papers up. Why the need for additional review when it has passed USCIS, it passed the prescreener, I was interview by the CO and he said everything looks good, then it passed another post screener, now it is back with the CO for additional review.... it feels worst than waiting for NOA2.

I wanted to think they are scrutinizing me further because I have two kids but one of the lady who had interview date same as mine, who also have two kids and is also on K1/K2 visa already received her visa May 27.. it was released by embassy May 23, just two days after interview.. while our papers is probably sitting on the CO's desk for over a week now.

i'm sorry for venting... it is just that this part of the process seems to be the hardest for me. I wouldn't have minded playing the waiting game again if only I know why I am made to wait. It is not knowing what is really holding our papers up that is eating me.

I'm sorry again... I will be ok soon, I just needed to let it out for now.

I am not removing the approved beside my interview date. i still believe in my heart that I was approved (the CO said so right after the interview) and it is just a matter of time till the CO could finally come to his senses and order the issuance of my visa.

They returned every photograph we sent during I-129F petition application so the only pics that they have are the picture on our passports and also those that were attached to the forms and also those picture the the medical center took(they forwarded everything to embassy).. I am wondering if the CO developed HD (hidden desire) with me that he wants to stare at my passport pic some more. :jest:
