Congratulations to all you January VSC filers... I'm a January VSC filer like you, but have been mostly a lurker... OK.. Here is my info:

We met in 1990... he was my first boyfriend... we were together from 1990-1992...

I joined the USAF in 1995 and left Panama

We got in touch again Sep 2007 and the fire rekindled

We figured out that this was meant to be and became engaged on 1Nov2007

I visited Panama for Christmas on 17Dec2007

We picked back up; exactly where we left off almost 15 years ago

After we both grew up... we are even more in love than in the early 90's

Sounds like a story book story... but it's true; when you are meant to be together... no matter how far away or what happens throughout; if it's meant to be, it will defininently be...

paul and i met while playing a video game actually, called battlefield 1942, it's a ww2 shooting game hehe:O my brother got me into it. If it wasn't for him I would have never met paul. Went in the server one day he was in with his clan and we didn't even talk to eachother but played together and the more i did with his clan the more i liked the game and eventually joined the clan and played for a year with them and then we started talking on msn , things progressed and I knew feelings grew for him but was unsure if he felt the same way. well i used to always send him surveys to do , like lil stupid ones and i would find more things about him everyday! we talk about everything and anything and I love having someone I can always go to with my problems or just to talk. He makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! lolo I'm a loser, head over heels some might say!

well on the 28th i sent him one asking him cute lil questions questions like would u date me, kiss me, what would you do if u met me random things, some romantic and waht he thought of me, he wouldnt send me it back unless i did it and sent it to him as well then we both emailed back to eachother read the answers, seems silly now to tell eachother wih a survey hehe but it worked! and we have been talking everyday ever since , the fist time he came for a week he went to my prom lol it was great he came in july for a month, then in dec, then this past summer i went over there. I'm very lucky to be able to spend time with him. I love him so much and can't picture my life without him and never want to!!! we have known eachother for over 5 yrs but have been devoted to eachother for 3 and I wouldn't have it any other way. <3

as for the wedding i want a wintery wedding in dec. I love the xmas cheer hehee. Even though its cooold I would love to have everyone together enjoying themselves in a warm cozy wintery atmosphere. It wouldn't be next xmas it would be the xmas after, 09'. and the colors would be navy, silver, white, black . and I keep planning all these things like the way everythign will look and over stress then i need to take a break for awhile lol but i do go on the knot lots it's a great site for ideas. and for the honeymoon hawaii

at this moment i'm just getting excited that he's coming in 13 days hehehehe and having him decorate easter eggs with me lol

ah! after all that i forgot hot to post how i got engaged well he had the ring the whole time i was in england i had no idea when he was going to propose though I thought maybe in france or something but i always was worried what if its not perfect or the right place or time and didn't want to stress about it just enjoy vacation so i said don't yet. so he didnt:P well when we were back in the US before i woke up he went to the store got everything to make me breakfast in bed! it was so cute and i had no idea . I woke up to him holding a tray with crepe's with lots of nutella! It was my fav in france i loved it and he had a single red rose and got this special fruit juice i loved. He also made a nice lil card and when he draws hearts they look so cute and guyish if u know waht i mean hehe. underneath the card was a box, with the ring in it!! ahhh he sat down beside me opened it and asked me. It was simple but so romantic, now I look back and wouldn't want him to change a thing.It was his idea no one elses. I would have never thought of him doing it that way and didn't see it coming at all! that was on sept 13th jeez it will be 6 months since in march!! aw i feel all lovey dovey now lol

I was on a dating site for over three years...after a year and a half, I let my membership lapse...I could only send "winks" to people I was interested in...

I had sent Darren a "wink", but didn't hear from him for a while...

Out of the blue, he sent me a message in March 2007(I found out later that he paid his membership just to send me a message!)...we started talking every day, and I eventually invited him to visit...he came over on June 30th and stayed for a week...our first "official" date was the Kennedy Space Center (he is a complete sci-fi nerd!!! I love nerds!!!); we went to a couple of other theme parks and spent the rest of the time getting to know each other...but, truth be told, I knew he was the one when we walked back to the car when I picked him up from the airport...

By the time he left on July 7th, I knew I couldn't live without him! He met my parents at Thanksgiving, and they love him as much as I do!!!

OUR LOVE STORY:

I am a single mom with two adorable kids and he is a divorced American with 1 beautiful daughter. We met online more than two years ago, both still recuperating from a failed relationship. We started as online friends, talking about stuff which were not even romantic. After a few months of casual chat we started getting a little serious... but no "I love you's yet". We both wanted to be sure that we are not just having a grand illusion of online love.

He first came to visit over a year of online dating, November 2006 and spent 10days here. I had so many apprehensions, he had so many fears but then, when the plane landed and he came out from the airport, all those unfounded fears flew away... the online magic was still there, stronger and more real when we finally came face to face with each other. Things went beautifully steady from then on.

We were having so much fun together but we know we had to go home to my hometown where my kids and my family were waiting.

It was June 30, his birthday and I wanted to give him a birthday surprise. When our plane from Cebu landed, he thought we were heading straight to my hometown but it was when the van driver I pre-booked stopped in front of the hotel that he realized we will still be spending one more day alone together. We had an anything goes birthday celebration but as much as we wanted to spend more time out, we were both too exhausted with the one week tour that we decided to turn in early.

I washed up and was already in bed when he came out from the bathroom with a weird look on his face.. then.. he knelt on my bedside and took out a small white box and there inside was the most beautiful engagement ring. He said that it is not the most fancy or the most expensive diamond ring but for me it is the most exquisite thing because it came from the man I love. He was saying things like: "I don't want you to go anywhere but with me".. and all other things that has become blurred with the overwhelming happiness I was feeling inside. I can't even remember if I said anything back, I just embraced him so tight while tears were flowing from my cheeks.

ok found the wedding pics well u can see us dancing lol my sister is the one in polka dots lol i'm in the silver dress and paul is dancing around everywhere getting drunk, we danced with my sister because she didn't have a date and so she wasn't lonely! I shall look for more clearer pics of us but most of them are just from regular cams not digital and i dont have a scanner

now that I think about it these pics aren't that great at all to show what we look like! oh well, weddings are fun! hehehe

Last time he was here, we used up 3 2G cards!!! Fireworks and pictures take up a lot of space!!!
