... Touched AGAIN but no approval announcement yet :( ... this whole touching thing is a killer. I hope some of you get your approval today!!! Good luck!!

At least you are getting touched!!!!!

I never thought i'd want to be 'touched' by a stranger this much! lol

Haha  I'm starting to wonder what exactly I put in my file to make it so interesting!! Or so difficult to approve!

Well mine must be boring cos it's either gathering dust or being used as a doorstop!

I think mine was so boring they just wanted to get rid of it!!!

The thought of people studying our petitions still creeps me out a little, to be honest.

Alex and I are both pretty shy people and having to write the explanation of how we met and having to submit photos and e-mails/letters was excruciatingly painful! I just have to remind myself that hundreds of other couples have also submitted petitions and have had their relationship examined, too, and that the USCIS people are too busy to afford to spend time reading any part of the petition (other than the forms) too closely.

LOL I doubt it's boring... the person who has it just probably doesn't have a clue. What I hate is that you can get touched multiple days in a row and haven't a clue what it was for ... then nada for who knows how long.

Well Rachel as long as you didn't include any of "those" pictures to prove a bona fide relationship  then I don't think they'll spend much time reading through your file. I've read that when it comes to adjudication, they don't spend much more than 15 minutes. Of course if you sent really really really good "those" type pictures, you will receive many touches for months as it gets passed from adjudicator to adjudicator. I think you'll be ok :hehe:

But...but I thought they'd be irrefutable proof of our relationship!

...I know I'll be fine, and one of the former USCIS workers said himself that not only are the petitions read over fairly quickly, but that the workers don't chat to each other and compare petitions, either. It's just my fears preying on me!

We were approved! 56 days :) so happy

Congratulations! Keep 'em coming, VSC!

I'm with youon that 100%. Toby and I are very private about our relationship and we don't go in for public displays of affection or lengthy emails describing our love for each other etc. Having to do this for a stranger to review just felt embarressing and intrusive.
