I look at all the applications from January being approved in Vermont, its unbelievable the time difference between the two service centers. I have been only waiting since January, but I feel so bad for those who have been waiting for months and months.

I feel for you, and totally understand where you're coming from. So I say this not to be mean or cold, but to share with you the thing that got me through almost 6 months of waiting: Be patient, and be positive. It is hard sometimes, really hard. But it's the only way you're going to get through this with your nerves intact. You're going to need that patience and positive attitude the most when you start seeing people that filed at the same service center but after you being approved. That's when the waiting gets the hardest. You need to go into that period in good spirits or it will crush you. If you start joining in with the angry threads and cursing at the service centers, you will be miserable, and the last weeks of your wait will be unbearable. You don't have to praise them, but find something good to hold onto. In my weakest moments I imagined what it's going to be like when I meet my fiancee in the airport, and kind of think about how that scene will play out.

So hang in there, be as positive as you can possibly be (even when you want to cry), and the day will come when you get that magic email or letter in the mail.

I know how you feel and think its BS. We filed at the CSC in October and still waiting. They raised the fees in July then said it was to hire 1500 new employees but it didnt make it any faster. They dont care about us and the ones we love. Our country spends 100's billions od dollars on a war that should have never been started. The housing market has crashed (I lost 90,000 on my house already) and the American dollar is worth less then Canada for the first time in 50 years. We have a stupid president to top it off. Point is our country is screwed in so many ways. We see approvals in less then 2 months at the NVC and over 6 months at the CSC. They need to open the Texas again to help with CSC. Anyway like everyone says we have no choice.

When you are down, the best advice I can give you, is remember the big picture: the separation is only temporary, and it's well worth it joining your life with the one you love

Good Luck!

Caro

hmmmm i have my daugther and i have also a full time job. As you can imagine i'm very busy. But. I can't wait. It is so stressful to let an administration decide about your love and your life.
