Deleted/Missing/Destroyed evidence just seems to be a common occurrence with this administration isn't it??

Yeah, a little like the records for whitewater and the Rose Law Firm?

On whose part?

But if we want to go there to play the hypocrisy/inequality game at least we can say the following to be completely true:

Nobody got waterboarded/tortured/blown up as a direct/indirect consequence of Whitewater nor Rose Law, even though I do detest lawyers and they are a pestilence unto which our species should be purged of... :P

In a more literal way, the following is also true:

Plenty of people have been waterboarded/tortured/blown up as a direct/indirect consequence of BushCo's party between 2001 and 2008. Good and bad. It is what it is.

Tell that to Vince Foster.

Well that's Shakespeare's line taken to its usual misinterpretation

Now who's feeding the conspiracy theory game?

There were how many investigations down that path that concluded the same thing?

But to tie it in to the current timeframe, more than one official investigations have concluded that there were no WMDs and that the Intel was flawed. Or... was it... tam tam taaammmmmm...

So the message we should draw from some of the responses to this thread is:

Political corruption is OK - if you like the people who are doing it.

Or modified, perhaps to-

If we don't want to elect the possibility of real change, then maybe its better to elect someone that promises to at the least fix the messup that have been the previous two terms. Be that person a politician just like most of the rest.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

...based on the assumption that whatever wrongdoing the Clinton Administration did, is/was endorsed wholeheartedly by everyone who liked Bill Clinton when he was President.

Oh come on now Steve... you know you had good memories of the Clinton era! :D

There were good times...there were bad times. Try to get a Republican to admit that about Reagan.

They like him, they love him... the hate him... they abhor him... yeah, right. :P

Or, for those of us that wowed before we knew what pre-Alzheimers was... " I Can't Remember. "

He wasn't lying...that's the sad part. We had an Alzheimer President with his finger on the button. Crazy.

When in doubt - Lie. Cheat. Steal

White House official admits plagiarism, resigns

Internal probe: Aide copied material for 20 columns published in papers

WASHINGTON - A White House official who served as President Bush's middleman with conservatives and Christian groups resigned Friday after admitting to plagiarism. Twenty columns he wrote for an Indiana newspaper were determined to have material copied from other sources without attribution.

Timothy Goeglein, who has worked for Bush since 2001, acknowledged that he lifted material from a Dartmouth College publication and presented it as his own work in a column about education for The News-Sentinel in Fort Wayne, Ind. The newspaper took a closer look at his other columns and found many more instances of plagiarism.

"The president was disappointed to learn of the matter and he was saddened for Tim and his family," White House press secretary Dana Perino said in a statement.

There were good times...there were bad times. Try to get a Republican to admit that about Reagan.

Good times: dropping the tax rate from 70 % to 28% causing an economy boom, Giving America pride after the disaster that was Jimmy Carter, Defeating the Soviet union and cause the Berlin wall to fall. People could finally buy a house again after the sky high interest rates.

Bad times: leaving Lebanon after the barracks bombing, emboldening the jihadists, bad move. Allowing the Dem's to ride rough shod over his central American policy and banning aid to the Contra's, he should have taken the case to the American people instead of the covert action thing and put the blame the Dem's for protecting the communist's governments, one of John Kerry's only accomplishments as a senator when he was newly elected or any time, what a piece of ####### he is. Central America has made a lot of progress from what it was after Carter's allowing the communist's to spread like wildfire.
